The Information Network Village (INVIL) is a project lunched in 1990 by South

Korean government, to improve the quality of rural resident’s life and increase
their income working on 3 main points: firstly to reduce digital divide by
establishing the IT infra structure, distributing free PCs to household, Building
the village information center and providing an IT training for residents,
secondly to vitalize local community by building the new communication tool
based on information system, forming a local communities making digital
system a way of life and developing information contents, finally to revitalize
local economy by vitalizing e-commerce for special local products, Attracting
tourists by experience activities and revitalizing local economy by developing
business model .
