WRITING (100 points)

1. Write 10 sentences about your life experiences using the time clauses or
conjunctions in the box. Talk about events that changed you, such as an event that

2. Write about regrets. (25 points)
a. First, think about 5 (personal) regrets you have about the past and write a

b. Then write a sentence with if-clauses + past perfect, and could/would/not +
have + past perfect to make a hypothetical situation for each of your regrets.
Example: I should have studied French when I was in school.
If I had studied French in school, I wouldn’t have needed a translator when I was in
France.

1. For a restaurant to be profitable, it’s a good idea to have a good service.

4. Write a paragraph of at least 5 lines about a successful Ecuadorian company you


know and why it is successful. Give details about the business if possible. Use

Example: Pinto is a successful clothing company because it has great quality. ...
Pacari is a company about food, especially chocolates, it’s successful because it has organic
chocolates and usually people like that because of it’s healthier. Since it has been famous,
many countries asked for these chocolates. The reason that It’s popular is because of It has a
delicious chocolates, and also many people prefer to eat Pacari’s chocolates with a good wine.
It’s a good gift for your girlfriend or boyfriend for its affordable prices, however some
products aren’t too popular, due to they are expensive.
