Writing Task 3
Write a report for other students about a new facility. Organize your report into four
paragraphs: an introduction, positive things, negative things and a conclusion. Use the
useful language to help you (check the example given on your workbook, Unit 10).
Think about a new facility in your town/city or a town/city near you, for example a
museum, school, university, restaurant, hospital, sports centre, cultural centre, etc.

Sport Centre

Three months ago town hall built a sports center near my house. This project took the
mayor more than three years; I thought it would no longer be done.
This Centre is called “The Little Athlete Village” It has a soccer field, basketball,
volleyball, skate park, cafe. Also, there are many outdoor parks and special places for
doing exercise outdoors.

There is free internet access for anyone in the café for all day also it has an access for
people in wheelchairs.

Currently the cost of the entrance ticket is 25 soles per person, the good thing that you
can bring your own water or food, because things are very expensive inside, in case you
did not have a ball, you can rent in the center so you can play.

This Centre has not swimming pool, maybe next year town hall will build, I want it to be
next year to swim close to home.

I recommend that you go to "The Little Athlete Village" you, your friends will have a lot
of fun, and if you go with your family, they have a discount on tickets.
