This was a test to see how the controller (paintbrush in this situation) would be built and
if it worked. I put the ends of the white wire through the bristles and taped the wire to the paint
brush. I attached the white wire to the makey makey using the alligator clips, and then grounded
the makey makey to a piece of paper. I then wet the piece of paper slightly and began to “paint”.
Using Scratch, by ‘painting’ with the brush a C chord was played on a ukulele. My goal next time
is to get longer white wire and set up all the paint brushes.

I have now put together the frame for the 5ft by 3ft Canvas I am building. I used two 8ft
pieces of wood, cut them into two 5ft pieces and 2 3ft pieces, and then attached them together
using staples and L brackets. The goal next time I work is to attach the actual material to the
wood boards and create a way to keep the board standing on its own.

Today I finished the project entirely. The last picture here is of the back of the canvas as I was
stapling the fabric to the wood border. The first and second picture are of the finished project all
together. I finished putting together the last four paint brushes and attached them to the makey
makey. I then attached the paintbrushes to the canvas with command strips to keep them from
moving. Most of my time today went towards the coding of the project on scratch. After a few
google searches, I was able to figure out a way for the notes to stop after the paintbrush is no
longer touching the canvas. I was also able to find a sprayer to wet the canvas as well as all the
paints I need for my demonstration.
