had been fiercely killed by the invaders.

Early in the morning around 300 irregulars led directly by Prince Antasari attacked the coal mine and
Dutch fort at Pengaron. The battle lasted until 14:00 noon. Both the Prince Antasari and the Dutch fell
victim.

Pengaron was surrounded by the people of the Antasari army. Beeckman, the main commander in the
Fort and the Oranje Nassau coal mine, was very worried because food supplies were running low. He
immediately sent a courier, but the courier could be killed by paramilitary Prince Antasari.

mines and fortresses, but unfortunately the enemy was known, and all were killed.

such conditions the Dutch government considered Prince Antasari dangerous so that it was considered a
rebel who was charged with a "prince" or a 10,000 guilder's head price to catch him alive or dead.

Kingdom war with the Dutch, because it was at this location that Prince Antasari first carried out an
attack on the Dutch which made the Banjar war first erupt.
