I am a farmer.

I want to tell story of my exploitation by the British during

British India.

1. I was subjected to heavy tax by the middle man of British who were
called Zamindars. This heavy tax led to a situation where I had to take
loan on high interest rate from village Sahukar for my daily needs and
social obligation. As a result, I was under debt trap with huge loan
burden and I kept becoming poorer and poorer day by day.

2. I was forced to grow cash crops like indigo and cotton which was not for
my benefit but for my masters. My land got infertile and I was not
allowed to grow crops to feed my family or do farming out of my choice.

3. During drought and famine or natural calamity there was no support

from State and I was forced to survive on my own by God grace or die as
unfortunate creature.
