Supplication For Worry and Concern

Abdullah ibn Masūd said:

‘The Messenger of Allah said:

“No slave says when touched by distress or grief

except that Allah removes his concern, clears his grief and replaces his grief
with joy.”

They said: “O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn these words?”

He said: “Yes, it is fitting for whoever hears them to learn them.”

O Allah, truly I am your slave, the son of your slave, the son of your female
slave. My forelock is in your control, Your judgement passes through me and
Your decree is just with me. I ask You by every name which is Yours by which
You have named Yourself, or have revealed in Your Book, or have taught to
anyone in Your creation, or have kept in Your knowledge of the unseen to
make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my sight, that which clears
my grief and the remover of my worry.
