The students have a clear understanding what area is. Showing them
examples and a activity of them to fully understand the material.

-determine the area of rectangles with whole number side lengths in
problems using multiplication related to the number of rows times the
number of unit squares in each row

Anticipatory Set
Bringing them Cheez It for the activity. Something they like to have
their attention.

Teaching: Input/Mini Lesson


Lecture will be given to help the students better understand the class.

Teaching: Modeling
Examples on the board for the students to have a visual problems to
fully comprehend.

Teaching: Checking for Understanding


Asking students as during the lesson and answering as well if they
have any doubts.

Questioning strategies: Asking students during the lesson steps we


have gone over to to see of they are getting and understanding the
steps as I continue with the steps.

Guided Practice
The students will be asked during the activity and lesson several time
if they’re understanding the material as well of being called on to
answer questions.

Closure
Conclusion of the class will be assigning them homework to see how
they do on their own and knowing of the lesson was well taught.

Independent Practice
The students had an activity to practice on their own to master the
skill of being able to find the area of the shape they were given.
