Fault finding and troubleshooting of a cold and hot water dispenser with compressor.

PROBLEM:

The water dispenser was not producing hot water out from its faucet.

WORK CARRIED OUT INCLUDIING MATERIALS:

1. Digital multimeter
2. Analog multimeter
3. Long nose pliers
4. Precision set pliers
5. Philips screwdriver
6. Flathead screwdriver

All the components of the water dispenser were checked by using the multimeters, starting from the power
supply onwards. Everything were in normal condition except the heater. Even after energizing the water
dispenser for half an hour, only the cold water was available whilst the hot water did not flow out of its
specified tap. Therefore, it was suspected that the heater was faulty.

FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED:

The heater of the water dispenser needs to be replaced by the manufacturer.
