Lobby Scene:
In this scene, jack is at the lobby working,
Danny is riding his tricycle all over the hotel,
and Wendy is at the kitchen. Danny is riding his
tricycle when he stops just to see the little
twins at the end of the hallway, he was so
scared that he couldn’t scream, he closes his
eyes and when he opens them, the door of the
room 237 is opened, he proceeds to enter. At
the time Jack is having a nightmare and
screaming so scared that Wendy runs to the
lobby just to wake him up from his horrible
dream. As Jack wakes up, he was all covered in
sweat and confess to Wendy that in the
nightmare he was hurting her and Danny. Then
Danny shows up with marks and scratches on
his neck. Wendy, scared, thinks that Jack did it
because of the dream he had, but he was so
confused that he turned out mad because she
didn’t believed him although he wasn’t guilty.

There are no special audio effects in the
shining.
Visual:
There was only one special effect where
Kubrick wanted to use the fireplace without
affecting the lightning, so he recorded the
scene and then later added the fireplace.
Lightning:
Kubrick chose to use lightning for a more
clinical and interpersonal attitude of the theme
of the supernatural world towards the human
world.
