LYRICS & TR ANSL ATIONS
Sing a new song There’s twist and there’s turns and there’s
Sing, shout all the earth lessons to learn by the creek.
Break forth,sing aloud, and play music
Take a breath and think.
Shout all the earth
Please don’t be so scared to search your center.
Sing all the earth
Let those seeds grow ‘cause every door you
Sing a new song
enter, You find a piece of something inside you
Let the heavens rejoice never knew.Keep moving through. Believe it’s
Let the earth be glad true. I know that you will keep moving through.
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it Make a little change at the little creek.
Let the field exult, and all that is in it
| A SPOTLESS ROSE (PAUL MEALOR)
Let the trees of the forest sing for joy
Let the rivers clap hands A Spotless Rose is growing,
Let the mountains sing for joy Sprung from a tender root,
Of ancient seers’ foreshowing,
Sing a new song
Of Jesse promised fruit;
Sing, shout all the earth
Its fairest bud unfolds to light
Sing a new song; SING!
Amid the cold, cold winter,
| THE LITTLE CREEK
And the dark midnight.
Come with me to the little creek The Rose which I am singing,
Where my thoughts are running free. Whereof Isiah said,Is from its sweet root
They might run swift or they might run deep, springingIn Mary, purest Maid;
But these waters wind their way through me.
Through God’s great love and might,
When we reach the hill, we’ll follow it down. The Blessed Babe she bare us
Cross the rough and rocky ground. In a cold, cold winter’s night.
Get a little bit lost and a little bit found,
| THE RUNE OF HOSPITALITY
But it evens out when we hear that sounds.
I saw a stranger yestereen;
Why are we so scared to search our centers?
It may seem so, but every door you enter, I put food in the eating place,
You find a piece of something inside you never Drink in the drinking place,
knew. Keep moving through. Music in the listening place;
You’ve got your pain, I’ve got mine. And in the sacred names of the Triune
It’s hard to say it’ll workout fine. He blessed me and my house,
But we can share the load when we share a sigh My cattle and my dear ones.
At the creek our dreams are by design
And the lark said in her song
It flows in you, and it flows in me. Often, often, often.
Some days you will find it. Goes the Christ in the stranger’s guise.
Some days it’s hard to see.
