Client Server Network

A client-server network is designed for end-users, called clients, to access resources such as
files, songs, video collections, or some other service from a central computer called a server.
A server's sole purpose is to do what its name implies - serve its clients! You may have been
using this configuration and not even have known it. Have you ever played Xbox Live or used
the PlayStation Network? Your Xbox One is the client, and when it logs into the network, it
contacts the Xbox Live servers to retrieve gaming resources like updates, video, and game
demos.

client server network Advantages

1. Centralized backup is possible.

2. The use of dedicated servers improves overall system performance.

3. Security on these networks is good because all shared resource centers are maintained.

peer to peer networks

A peer-to-peer (P2P) network is group of computers, each of which acts as a node for

sharing files within the group. Instead of having a central server to act as a shared drive,

each computer acts as the server for the files stored upon it. When a P2P network is

established over the Internet, a central server can be used to index files, or a distributed

network can be established where the sharing of files is split between all the users in

the network that are storing a given file. A peer-to-peer (P2P) network is group of
computers, each of which acts as a node for sharing files within the group. Instead of

the files stored upon it. When a P2P network is established over the Internet, a central

In the most basic sense, a peer-to-peer network is a simple network where each

computer doubles as a node and a server for the files it exclusively holds. These are the

same as a home network or office network. However, when P2P networks are

established over the internet, the size of the network and the files available allow huge

amounts of data to be shared. The configuration file is only for the benefit of the hosts of

the peer-to-peer network. As a result, the subsequent subsections focus on the

components of the hosts that are part of the peer-to-peer network of the NVE.

Hybrid Networks
A hybrid network is any computer network that uses more than one type of connecting
technology or topology. For example, a home network that uses both Wi-Fi and
Ethernet cables to connect computers is a hybrid. In the early years of computer
networking, hybrid networks often consisted of Token Ring or Star technologies,
however these were quickly antiquated by Ethernet. While textbooks often refer to these
types of hybrids, they are basically extinct in 2014.There are different types of hybrid
network topologies depending on the basic topologies that make up the hybrid and the
adjoining topology that interconnects the basic topologies.
The following are some of the hybrid network topologies:
1. Star-Wired Ring Network Topology
In a star-wired ring hybrid topology, a set of star topologies are connected by a ring
topology as the adjoining topology. Joining each star topology to the ring topology is a
wired connection.
2. Star-Wired Bus Network Topology
A star-wired bus topology is made up of a set of star topologies interconnected by a
central bus topology. Joining each star topology to the bus topology is a wired
connection.
3. Hierarchical Network Topology
Hierarchical network topology is structured in different levels as a hierarchical tree.
For this reason, it's also referred to as tree network topology.
