.....and the shakpriya? has two connotations.

One is that
according to his own taste he chants the name of the Lord and
also it means the names of the Lord that are very dear the Lord
Himself. Actually Krsna's names are very dear to Krsna Himself
so therefore when we chant Krsna's name Krsna becomes very happy.
This earth planet is actually the best place to render devotional
service and by properly executing devotional service on this
earth planet one becomes eligible to go back to the spiritual
sky. Not only the spiritual sky to the topmost region of the
spiritual sky, Goloka Vrndavana. Yesterday we discussed the
general devotional service as rendered on this earth planet
according to varna ashrama and then we see that it even
transcends even higher than performing varna ashrama although it
is said (sloka quoted) the best way to please Visnu is by (sloka
quoted) by performing varna ashrama one can please Visnu but
Visnu becomes even more pleased when one renders unconditional
service unto Him. Varna ashrama has a consideration of guna and
karma. Varna ashrama has a consideration of one's own propensity
and the influences of the modes of the material nature but in
spite of those influences, when one renders service unto the
Supreme Personality of Godhead as the king was preforming
although he was a ksatriya and on his k platform his main
consideration was to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead
and he was ruling this kingdom as the caretaker of Krsna's
property. And in his kingdom his citizens were Krsna's children,
Krsna's subjects and he was taking care of them as the servant of
Krsna. Then he actually directed Nm to Indra. He pointed out
that he was not actually the greatest recipient of Krsna's mercy
because even a greater recipient of Krsna's mercy is Indra. Why?
Because they have attained immortality because drinking the
nectar and the demigods received the nectar by Krsna's mercy. So
Krsna's mercy was unconditionally showered upon the demigods.
And Krsna actually went out of His way to deprive the demons and
let the demigods drink the nectar. This is how Krsna actually
favors the demigods and why Krsna gave them the nectar, because
Krsna wanted them to become immortal because He wanted them to
take care of the different departments of this material nature.
And among the demigods Indra is the greatest and not only that
Krsna actually became a younger brother of Indra. Vamanadev is
Indra's brother because he is also born out of Aditya. Kashipa
had a wife called Aditi and another wife called Diti. Out of
Aditi the demigods are aditi's were born and out od diti daityas
or demons were born. These are two groups who are in constant
conflict and when Daityaraj, the king of the demons, Bali, drove
the demigods out of heaven and took over their kingdom, aditi was
very much afflicted because her sons lost their kingdoms and were
wondering around the universe in different disguises and some
were even hiding in mountain caves or under the ocean. Aditi
performed a great austerity and as a result of that austerity the
Lord appeared ion front of her as asked her what do you want.
and aditi said my dear Lord please reinstate my sons in their
rightful position in heaven and aditi as it has been described in
padma purana aditi also told Krsna that I do not want that the
sons od diti should suffer. Please don't punish them severely or
kill them, just reinstate my children and I will be happy, I
don't want any revenge. and Krsna became very happy with her andÜn22222Ü
He told her I am so happy that you are so non©envious. ALthough
diti's`dealt with your children so cruelly, but you are so
compassionate. Therefore I am very happy with you and Krsna
promised to her that she would appear to her as her son and as a
result Vamanadeva appeared. Vamanadev in this way is the younger
brother of Indra. And Vamanadev deceived Bali, drove him out of
the heavenly planets and sent him in exile ostracized him to the
lower planetary system known as Sutaloka. In this way the Lord
favored Indra. So indra is a very very special devotee. So
when Nm went to Indra he started to glorify Indra with all these
points and there he saw that Vamanadev was surrounded by all the
demigods and He was receiving all the praises offered by them and
gifts offered by them and the demigods were also in ecstasy
shedding tears worshiping the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Then after a while when Vamanadev left and went to His palace
Narada Muni spoke to Indra and started to glorify him as the
greatest of all devotees, as the recipient of the greatest mercy
of the Lord. But then Indra became very ashamed hearing all that
and told him 'O Narada Muni, O expert musician (Narada Muni is a
great musician, he is always singing the glory of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead planning on his Vina) and at first he
couldn't believe that Narada Muni was speaking to him like that
so he said, 'Are you making fun of me. You re not serious' and
then Indra started to point out the defects in his character.
How he is not actually a devotee. He couldn't really become az
proper recipient of the mercy of the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. Then in response the Narada Muni's praises to Indra,
Indra replied that Krsna did not actually defeat Bali, Krsna
begged his kingdom, He begged Indra's heavenly kingdom from Bali
to offer it to Indra. So in this way he elevated Bali's position
and humiliated Indra. Krsna was so favorable to Bali that he did
not defeat Bali in a war or drive him out directly but with his
own permission by deceiving him he actually took the kingdom away
from him. Then he has various contaminations in him, pride lust
greed anger.etc. Indra becomes very proud of his position.
There are many instances of where Indra becomes proud and as a
result of that he suffers. Actually all these detrimental
qualities breed envy. Once Durvasya he was coming from the
heavenly planets and he offered Indra the flower garland that he
was wearing on his head. and Indra received the garland and he
placed it on the head of Iravid, his elephant. And iravid just
took the garland and he threw it away and Durvasya became very
angry. HE said you are so proud you are disregarding my
offering. You do not know who I am. I curse you that Laxmi will
leave you.' ANd as a result of that Laxmi Devi left the heavenly
planet and that's why the demigods have to churn the milk ocean.
The reason behind the churning of the milk ocean was to reinstate
Laxmi Devi or to bring Laxmi back and out of churning the milk
ocean Laxmi Devi came out. SO Indra sometimes becomes very
proud. He also becomes very lusty. SOmetimes he molests some
brahmanas wife and as a result of that he is cursed and then
Indra leaves his kingdom and hides out of fear of the curse of
the brahmana. SO in this way Indra honestly started to admit his
own defects because these negative qualities will not be present
in an advanced devotee. Lust greed anger, although they can be
used in Krsna's `service at a very advanced stage, general theseÜn33333Ü
six enemies are not in devotees. Indra admitted these defects
and then he told that the Lord took away the greatest assets of
the heavenly planets. The Subharma assembly and parijata tree.
The Subharma assembly when Krsna was ruling over Dwarka when He
established His capital in Dwarka from MAthura, then he brought
the Sudhamrna assembly onto this earth planet to Dwarka. And
also once to please Rukmini, Krsna stole parijata tree and He
planted it in Rukmini's garden. That will also be explained in
the second part how as a result of that Satyabhama became envious
that Krsna got the flower for Rukmini and not her. So in this
way Indra was time and time again instead of being favor by the
Lord He was being smashed by the Lord. Then he also admitted
that he prevented the Vrajabashas' worship of Krsna and as a
result of that he got chastised by Krsna. In Goverdhana when the
Vrajavasis were offering the were preparing the worship for Indra
Krsna actually directed them to worship Govardhana instead of
Indra and as a result of that Indra became very envious and Krsna
smashed him. He also admitted that he burnt Krsnaadamba forest
which is v dear to Indra. Once Agnidev, the son of the
controller of fire, was suffering from indigestion because the
son, in the fire sacrifice he ate so much ghee that he suffered
from indigestion so in order to cure his indigestion he had to
eat something vast so the only thing to cure his digestion was
Kadamba forest and that Kadamba forest was very dear to Indra.
In that forest Indra's friend Adaksa was there so when Agni tried
to eat that forest, that means to burn the forest out, Indra came
and started pouring rain. So in this way Agni's endeavour to eat
the forest was defeated by Indra. So Agni approach Krsna and
Arjuna and Krsna and Arjuna supported Agni Dev and agreed to help
him eat the forest provided Agni dev would give the proper
chariot to ride on the proper bows and arrows to fight with. So
at that time Agni gave Arjuna the ackshyatun, the carrier of
arrows that would never end, that has an unending supply of
arrows and Gandiva bow and he gave Arjuna the Kapitaj chariot.
SO with the chariot Krsna was driving the chariot and Arjuna
countervailed the attack of Indra. And it was described that
they were moving so fast it looked like a alatachkra that is when
you take fire and move it then you see the fire all around like a
circle of fire the chariot was moving like that. Not only arjuna
defeated by Arjuna prevented the animals to run away because Agni
dev has to eat all the animal;s so in this way Indra has been
defeated time and time again so he said where is the lOrds mercy
you re seeing in me? On the other hand I am seeing that I am
being constantly chastised by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Then Indra told Narada Muni that the real devotee actually is
Brahma, Narada's father, and the reason Brahma is the far greater
devotee than Lord Indra because he admitted that in one day of
Brahma 14 Indra's appear and one day of Brahma consists of 42,000
yugas of the demigods. Our calculation of a yuga is satya,
dwarpa, treta and kali now together four yugas make a divya yuga
or a yuga of a demigod. SOrry 4,000 yugas of the demigods is a
day of the Brahma. And then he is creator and controller of the
nature. Thousand headed lord Mahapurusa always resides in his
abode and personally accepts the sacrifices performed by him,
therefore Brahma is very dear to Lord Krsna, he is non different
from Sri Krsna. Now Sanatana Goswami made a point here toÜn44444Ü
justify that statement that Brahma is non©different from Krsna,
why, because sometimes Krsna himself takes up the role of Brahma.
That is Hiranyagarbha tattva, Visnu tattva but virajabrahma is a
living entity. SOmetimes Brahma is a living entity and
sometimes Visnu tattva therefor Brahma's position is very very
elevated. So Narada Muni then went to Satyaloka and he started
to glorify Brahma. He went and said my dear father, you are the
greatest devotee of the Lord, you are greatest recipient of the
Lords mercy and he started to mention why but Brahma considered
that to be a blasphemy. And he covered his eight ears with his
eight hands and started saying ' am the servant, I am the
servant, dasyosmi dasyosmi.' Because a devotee never wants to
hear that his position is equal to that of the Supreme PG. A
devotee always considers that he is the servant of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. Like although in the scriptures it has
been mentioned that the spiritual master is non different from
the Supreme Personality of Godhead although disciples look up to
the spiritual master as non different from the Supreme
Personality of Godhead but the spiritual master never thinks that
he is anything other than the servant of the Supreme Personality
of Godhead (sloka quoted) the spiritual master always considers
himself as the servant. so that is the position of a devotee.
That is the attitude of a devotee. He always thinks that he is
nothing else but the humble servant of the Supreme Personality of
Godhead and that makes the devotees position so wonderful..
ALthough so much glorification is offered to a devotee but a deem
never accepts them for himself, he passes everything over to his
spiritual master and in this way he offers everything to the
Supreme Personality of Godhead. It may be some material objects
or it may be some subtle glorification, or it maybe some menial
service, whatever he received a deem always offers it to his
spiritual master and through the via medium of the spiritual
master he offers everything to the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. SO here we can see that how Brahma refused to accepts
any such glorification. Brahma actually chastised Narada. He
said, 'narada, from your very childhood i have been telling you
so many times that you don't make that mistake. So many times I
have told you the Visnu the Supreme Personality of Godhead is my
lord and master and I am just his servant and that is my only
identity. Beyond that I do not have any other identity.' and so
in this way he chastised Narada Muni. Then Brahma explained that
actually he is not the creator, the maintainer, it is the
external energy of the Lord, maya that is the creator and
maintainer of this universe. He admitted that in response to N's
statement of glorification. Then Brahma admitted that he is
often bewildered by maya. The lord's`external energy is the
supreme controller of this material nature and even Brahma gets
bewildered by maya and then he admitted that due to the influence
of maya he develops pride and forgets the supreme position of the
Lord. Actually that is the bewildering potency of the Lord,
maya. Maya makes people forget the supreme position of the
Supreme Personality of Godhead and his eternal relationship the
living entities' eternal relationship with the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. That is the aramatmika and bikshmatmika
energies of the Lord, the external potency of the Lord. Maya
acts by covering aramatmika, and taking away from bikshmatmikaÜn55555Ü
the Lord. Then Brahma admitted that although Narada told him
that he lives for such along time but Brahma said that although I
live for such a long time, I am afraid of time. You are thinking
that because I have such a long span of life but actually I am
afraid od death, I am afraid of time because I know that someday
I will have to die. Although from you calculation it is along
span of life but according to my calculation it is only a hundred
years. Then he worships the Lord in order to attain liberation.
SO Brahma admitted that his devotional service to the Lord is not
unconditional. It is conditional and that is he worships the
lord for liberation. SO here we can see that devotional service
on the earthly platform is not pure devotional service as it has
been described here up to Brahma, it is actually mixed devotional
service and this mixed devotional service is tinged with karma
and jnana. Up to Indraloka it is karma, devotional service or
material enjoyment but then beyond Indra, beyond sarvaloka, in
Mahaloka tapaloka, janaloka and satyaloka devotional service is
on the platform of jnana. SO up to Satyaloka the devotional
service is tinged with jnana and karma. SO even Brahma is
worshipping the Lord for liberation s nit has been stated here by
Brahma himself. He does not have any devotion to Krsna's lotus
feet, he constantly worries about committing offenses to His
lotus feet. Brahma is always in anxiety because he has committed
so many offenses and he doesn't want to commit any further
offense. And he admitted that he gave benediction to
Hiranyakashipu

(change over of tape)

becoming so powerful due to the benediction of Brahma created so

much disturbance to this creation and finally the Lord had to
come as Nrsinghadev and protect His devotee Prahlad maharaj. And
Brahma also admitted that he was afraid to approach the Lord when
he came as Lord Nrsinghadev. Brahma could not approach the Lord
when the Lord became so angry due to the offenses he committed to
Prahlad Maharaj. Hiranyakashipu committed so many offenses that
Nrsinghadev became very very angry and even after killing His
anger did not subside and it seemed the whole creation was going
to fall apart due to the Lord's anger and no one even Laxmi Devi
could approach the Lord at that time, but Brahma pushed Prahlada
Maharaj so he went and pacified the Lord. That will be discussed
later on. All of his followers also commit offenses. Also
Brahma's followers commit offenses to the lotus feet of the Lord,
like Indra janma. At different times they not only Brahma
committed offenses but his followers also committed offenses and
actually the offense of the followers falls back onto part of it
goes to the leader. Generally one sixth of the piety and one
sixth of the sin goes to the leader that the person is following.
He himself also stole Krsna's friends and calves. During Krsna's
Vrndavana pastimes Brahma stole Krsna's cowherd boyfriends and
the calves and of course Brahma realized the mistake that he
made he became very repentant and he came to the Lord and begged
forgiveness. And actually the Lord forgave him. HE said, 'No
Brahma it is alright there is no offense.' But Brahma did not
accept that consolation. He performed very long and severe
austerity and as a result of the penance and austerity heÜn66666Ü
performed to atone for the offenses he committed to the Lord, the
Lord appeared to him but this time Brahma saw that He was
looking little different. His complexion was not looking dark
like the dark monsoon cloud but his complexion was like molten
gold and in this form the Lord consoled Brahma and said Narada
why are you doing this, why are you unnecessarily undergoing all
these austerity and penances.' Brahma said, 'I committed so
many offenses to You by stealing Your friends and calves and
doubting your position as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.'
Then Krsna in His golden form consoled Brahma saying 'It is
alright, there is no offense. If at all there was any offense,
it has been forgiven.' Then Brahma asked how come You have
appeared in this wonderful form? I have never seen you before in
this form.' Then the Lord said that actually I appear in this
form only in Kali yugas and that also only once in your day on
the 28th chakra yuga of your day I appear in this form. Then
Brahma said when You appear in this form next time, please allow
me to participate in this pastime. And He said OK granted and
then Brahma said You see I get very proud in my position of
Brahma and I commit offenses to Your lotus feet but please allow
me to be born in a very low class family so I do not develop any
pride. I am proud that I am Brahma but if I am born in a very
low class family in a very low family if I get a very low birth I
will be bereft of that pride. And the Lord granted that
benediction and that personality is Haridas Thakura in Caitanya
Mahaprabhu pastimes. Then Brahma told Narada Muni that actually
the real devotee of the Lord is Siva. Lord Siva is the dearest
devotee of Sri Visnu because he is known to be His friend. Lord
Siva is a friend of Visnu. Krsna treats Lord Siva as His friend.
There is no©one in this universe as dear to the Lord as Lord Siva
because then he mentions points why © because he renounced all
opulence of this world due to the transcendental joy of drinking
the nectar from His lotus feet. The sign of one's advancement is
in renunciation. Bhakti.....ca, as one develops devotion to the
lotus feet of the Lord, one becomes detached actually disgusted,
virukti means disgusted, of this material nature. Now Lord Siva
is such a great devotee and he is experiencing the nectar of the
Lord's devotional service so much that he has become completely
detached from this material attachments. He doesn't have any
desire or any inclination to enjoy this material nature although
he is the husband of maha maya. Mahamaya is the controller of
this material nature and Lord SIva is her husband, but still Lord
Siva is completely detached. That is the position of an
avadhuta. WHen one develops such intense love for the Supreme
Personality of Godhead that he becomes completely unconcerned
about the affairs of this world he completely forgets about this
material nature and of course this is not an artificial position,
it is a natural state of elevation. As again as Giriraj Maharaj
was mentioning in his class this morning that as one experiences
different aspects of mercy of the Lord through his different
senses he becomes completely unconcerned about other senses.
Like when he smells the fragrance of the lotus feet of the Lord,
then his whole consciousness is concentrated only on smelling and
all the other four senses become ineffective or non functional.
Or when he hears the beautiful sounds of the Lord's voice or
flute then other senses become numb and his whole consciousnessÜn77777Ü
just becomes hearing. Similarly touching and tasting etc. So in
this way one becomes so much internalized due to his pure
devotion to the Lord that he looses the awareness of his
surrounding in this material nature. That's why Rupa Goswami
(sloka quoted) as one develops his love for the Lord, he comes
detached to this material nature. And also it is mentioned that
Bhakti Devi has two sons, Jnana and Viragya, knowledge and
renunciation. Just as the children follow the mother similarly
wherever Bhakti Devi is, her two sons Jnana and Viragya are also
there and knowledge and renunciation are also there with
devotion. So as one develops devotion to the Supreme Personality
of Godhead he automatically spontaneously develops renunciation
and knowledge. Then he is saying that Lord Siva is holding the
Ganges in his head because the Ganges is coming from the lotus
feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. We also have to go
back to when Vamanadev came He simply wanted three steps of land
from Bali Maharaj to perform austerity. So Bali Maharaj granted
expanded Himself and with two steps He covered the earth planet
and the higher planets and not only that, the second step
penetrated through the coverings of the material nature. There
are eight coverings and outside the eight coverings is
Karasmaudra, the causal ocean, and the water came out through the
hole that was created by the toe of the Lord and the water from
the causal ocean came to wash the feet of the Lord and actually
that is the fact that the water washed the feet of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead and then it started to flow. Actually
Bhagurat brought Ganges to this earth planet. Bhagurat was the
great grandson of Sagar, King Sagar. Sagar was performing a
horse sacrifice and the horse was stolen by Indra and it was tied
down next to Kapumani's ashram. So Sagars son, he had 64,001
sons and they were
all
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888

88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
88888888888888888888888888888888his then Ganga said that
the only way it can be possible is of Lord Siva holds me on his
head when I fall. So then Vagerat performed further austerities
and pleased Lord Siva and made Lord Siva agree and then Lord Siva
stood there on Meera mountain and ganga then fell. ANd actually
Ganga got lost in Lord Siva's matted hear and that was another
endeavour for Bagrait to please Lord Siva to release Ganga out of
her hair. But the reason why Lord Siva is holding Ganga on his
head is because Ganga is coming from the lotus feet of the
Supreme Personality of Godhead because is the padadark. Pada
means feet udark means water of the Lord. Siva can grant
liberation to demigods like even Brahma. Siva has the power to
grant liberation to anyone, even the demigods. As I was
mentioning yesterday, in order to be able to go back to godhead
one has to have the permission of Lord Siva. Without the
permission of Lord Siva one cannot enter into Vaikuntha. Even
the demigods have to get the permission of Lord Siva. Sri Krsna
tolerates offenses to himself but he does not tolerate offense toÜn88888Ü
Lord Siva. If someone commits an offense to Lord Siva, Krsna
does not tolerate that. The reason is that Krsna cannot tolerate
offenses to His devotee. One can get away with committing
offense to Krsna, Krsna may excuse him, but krsna never tolerates
any offense to His devotee and because Lord Siva is such a great
devotee of Lord Siva He never tolerates any offense to him. The
Lord Himself kills the demons who become powerful due to the
boons given by Lord Siva and then consoled and praised him. He
did not do that in Brahma's` case. Actually krsna chastised
Brahma for giving boons like the way he gave to Hiranyakashipu
and Brahma admitted that in spite of that warning he again
granted some boon to Ravana and Ravana created so much
disturbance to Lord ramachandra, even stole His Sitadevi and
Brahma was chastised whereas if Siva gives some boon to a demon
and the demon is killed by Krsna, then Krsna does not get angry
with Lord SIva but when Siva laments Krsna pacifies him. Then
during the churning of the milk ocean He made Siva drink the
poison and glorified him with the name Nilacanta. When Lord Siva
drank the poison that came out of the churning of the ocean, that
poison could have destroyed the whole creation and in order to
save the creation Lord Krsna asked Siva to drink it and Lord Siva
immediately went and drank that poison. In this way krsna
glorified Krsna and the poison did not go any further down than
the neck of Lord Siva. It stayed on Lord Siva's neck and this is
why another dame for Lord Siva is Nilakanta. One whose neck is
bluish. Brahma asked Narada Muni to go to his abode beyond the
seven layers of the material nature and see how Lord krsna's
mercy is being bestowed upon Lord Siva. So this way Brahma
directed Narada to Lord Siva. Here ends the heavenly part of the
second chapter of Brhad Bhagavatamrta. The third chapter is
dealing with the devotees beyond this material nature and Lord
Siva is a devotee beyond this material nature.

QUESTIONS:

Tattva Prabhu: MAharaj I read in a Bhagavad©gita purport that

Lord Siva doesn't grant liberation .......Lord Visnu grants
liberation.

Answer: That is for the demons. The demons think that Siva is
the ultimate and they actually approach Siva for boons because
Siva is very quickly pleased so demons think that they will
please Siva very easily and they will get some benediction from
him but that understanding of the demons is mistaken because Lord
Siva never grants liberation to them. But to the devotees Lord
Siva grants liberation. When one is qualified Lord Siva allows
him to get out of the material nature and enter into Vaikuntha.
That is what has been pointed out here.

Question: You are saying that we have to return to the earth

planet to do devotional service to go back home to godhead. Does
that apply to this planet particularly, or are there other such
planets this applies to.

Answer: The universe has fourteen planetary systems and every

universe has an earth planet so the living entities from thoseÜn99999Ü
planetary systems have to go to the earth planet and in every
earth planet there is a Mathura mandala and Vrndavana and they
have to perform service through sankirtana in order to go back to
Goloka Vrndavana. In order to get out of the universe everyone
must get out through the earth planet because the earth planet
is the gateway out of the universe. In this universe there is
one earth planet and that is this one.

Question: When Brahma was being chastised by Krsna, did he see

it as the mercy of Krsna?

Answer: Yes they consider it as Krsna's mercy. NAturally a

devotees thinks that whatever he gets from Krsna is His mercy but
with a relative consideration that was not the mercy, not a
favor as such.

Question: Do we also have to come back in the human form in

order to do devotional service and get out of the universe?

Answer: The ultimate form that one gets in Vrndavana is his

original form that he has in Vrndavana. SO if someone is a
creeper in spiritual Vrndavana, Goloka Vrndavana, then he will be
born as a creeper here.

Question: Maharaj it is described in Srimad Bhagavatam that the

living being are delivered with Brahma automatically at the end
of creation.

Answer: That is liberated you see as long as we are in the

material nature Brahma admitted that they are conditioned to some
extent. But they are so much purified from their material
contamination that they can be considered as almost as liberated
but they are not fully liberated and Srila Prabhupada mentioned
that those who are almost purified, at the end of this Brahma's
life span when the universe dissolves, then those who are
liberated they go back to the spiritual sky.

QUestion: They do not have return?

Answer: It depends. As I mentioned even from Vaikuntha one has

to come back. As I mentioned in the introduction to this course,
unless and until the time we reach our ultimate destination we
will not be satisfied. If one's ultimate destination is Goloka
Vrndavana, then he will not be satisfied even in Dwarka.
Although Krsna may appear to him as a cowherd boy and his
associates may appear to him as the associates of vrndavana,
still he wont feel satisfaction because Vrndavana is a very
special place. SO if one goes up to Vaikuntha but his ultimate
destination is Vrndavana, he will yearn for that position and in
order to go there her will have to come to the earth planet and
perform sankirtana as I said in Vrndavana, Bhoma Vrndavana, and
by Krsna's mercy he will be promoted there.

Sankarshana Prabhu: in your previous class you said that Narada

Muni was......is travelling all over to find out Krsna. As we
know Narada has seen Lord Krsna's pastimes and 16,000 palaces andÜn1010101010Ü
desires to glorify .......and to preach and

Answer. Yes, this is a very good point. So this shows a

preacher for the sake of preaching is willing to go anywhere.
Narada Muni is a preacher actually Narada Muni is the guru of
everyone. Whenever we see that someone is getting the mercy of
the Lord Narada Muni comes and gives him the mercy first. So
Narada Muni is a preacher and his main concern is to spread the
glory of the Lord throughout the creation. Therefore he is not
so attached to just staying in Vrndavana with the Lord but he
leaves Vrndavana for the sake of preaching. Just as Srila
Prabhupada did. Srila Prabhupada left Vrndavana at the age of
seventy and went to a hell called New York City.

Hamsadhutta Prabhu: Prabhupada said New York was delightful

because for a pure devotee everything is delightful. I have a
question © these 64,000 sons of Sarga, if they were such rascals
why was so much trouble taken to deliver them?

Answer: Because of their father. He asked Kadarpamuni. Sarga

was a great personality so he appealed to Kardarpamuni.

Hamsadhutta Prabhu: If we was such a great personality then how

come he got so many rascal sons?

Answer: There is a saying that the banyan tree is so glorious

but the fruit is so disgusting that it is food for the crows. It
is not eaten by human beings. It often happens that the son of a
great person can become a rascal. For example Hiranyakashipu's
son is Phralada, a great devotee, but Prahlada's son is Verjan,
who ia again another rascal. Then Veriojan's son is Bali who
again is a devotee.
