Historical Background
During the bypass by the south of the Gazala line on the 27th of May 1942 (Unternehmen Venezia), the 15.Panzer Division advanced in
combat formation when tanks squadrons of the 4th Armoured Brigade appeared in the morning light. The Germans were really surprised
to find a new type of Allied tank with a gun range superior to their own tanks : it was the M3 Grant, made in USA. They found quickly the
only solution available : to charge on British tanks and beat them at short range. As German crews were better experienced than British
crews and in spite of heavy losses, the 15.Panzer Division decimated the 4th Armoured Brigade who withdrew from the engagement and
ran away to El Adem.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.
