‘To Whom It May Concern:
It gives me pleasure to prepare this letter of recommendation for Mr. Jake Klukaszewski
as a candidate for a secondary social studies teaching position, I have known Mr.
Klukaszewski for the past two years, where he was a student in the Secondary Education
Foundations of Education Department (SEFE) at Slippery Rock University. Thave had
extensive interaction with Mr. Klukaszewski in SEFE 370, Educational Measurements,
Assessment, and Evaluation and SEFE 426, Directed Field Experience in Secondary School.
Thave also had direct interactions with Mr. Klukaszewski during his tenure as President of
the SEFE Club.
As a student in my Practicum in Secondary Education (SEFE 426) course, Mr.
Klukaszewski demonstrated a commensurate balance of student rapport and instructional
competence. His disposition, character, and work ethic make him a viable candidate for a
teaching position. Correspondingly, his cooperating teacher as Lakeview High School (PA),
Mrs. Martin, opines that Mr. Klukaszewski is a self-starter and has developed positive,
professional rapport with the students. Mr. Klukaszewski is completing his student
teaching experience at Charles A. Huston Middle School in the Burrell School District (PA),
Ina similar fashion to his respectful behavior in the school setting, Mr. Klukaszewski is
dedicated to his coursework. During his tenure at Slippery Rock University, Mr.
Klukaszewski maintained a commensurate academic record. He is punctual, invested in
course assignments, and accepting of feedback in areas in which he can improve. Mr.
Klukaszewski is also respected by his peers. He was elected by the atudent body of his
SEFE Club peers to lead the group in professional development initiatives and service for
the group, while also bolstering the student membership. In short, he was very successful
in his role, leaving the organization in a viable position for future students.
T would recommend Mr. Jake Klukaszewski, both personally and professionally, for a
professional position. As a former high school principal, I worked hard to hire candidates
like Mr. Klukaszewski who exhibit skills and abilities to be an effective teacher and a
significant contributor to the school community (e.g. coaching and advising). As I have
summarized, I recommend Mr. Klukaszewski, I am confident that he will be a strong asset
to your district.
Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Assistant Professor
