HOW TO STOP HORSE CHEWING WOODS?

Actually, Horses are a highly intelligent animals which are naturally more
inclined towards outside in larger areas and when they are kept in the same
condition for too long, they might develop bad habits which may be the results
of boredom or harsh frustration. A common habit which might be developed by
horses due to frustration or boredom is chewing on their woods or other woods
in their nearby areas.
Chewing not only damages the wood but it can create so many more problems
for the horse such as causing undue wear on incisors & the chances of splinters
lodged in the mouth of the horse or having swallowed it increases.
There are many medical problems which arises due to this HORSE CHEWING
WOODS such as Vitamin Deficiencies, which compels the horse to chew wood.
But mostly the reason for HORSE CHEWING WOOD is the Boredom or
Frustration.
WHY DO HORSES CHEW WOOD?
There are many reasons why HORSE CHEW WOOD as Chewing of wood is
not normally seen in Wild horses but this behaviour is a result of a horse being
kept in a unnatural environment for more than specified time duration.Man.
