Activity 1

Objectives: To find out more information about St. Valentines Day.

Pupils are reading some interesting facts, events, about St. V. D. Teacher
writes on the blackboard some key-words from their report. After the pupil finishes
reading, other pupils have to make up sentences using these key words . Sentences
have the same meaning as in report.

Activity 2
Objectives: To practice using personality adjectives.
A student, whose eyes are tied with a scarf has to catch one of his colleagues
and describe his or her appearance and personality qualities. If his description is
true, he is given a present (bought or made beforehand). If not, another student
tries.

Activity 3
Objectives: To be able to make up different love stories.
There are two groups: 6girls and 6 boys. Each group has to dance around 5
chairs. When music stops, they sit down, but one, who hasn t sat down is out. We
continue this way till there is only one chair in each group. At the end of the game
we have 10 loosers. They have to make up a love story. The winners give them the
first sentence. For example: Once upon a time there was a very beautiful girl…
If the story is interesting they are given sweets. We may repeat this game 2-3
times.

Activity 4
Objectives: To recite love poems, sing love songs, to tell and guess riddles.
All students dance in pairs, except one, who dances with a broom. When
music stops, they quickly change their partner and the student who hasn’t a
partner, takes the broom and recites, sings, or tells a riddle.

Activity 5
Objectives: To practice giving orders and requests.
Girls and boys are dancing with each other, but not touching each other.
They have a balloon between them, and try not to loose it. The first three pairs
whose balloon fell down, are given some orders .For example: Show or tell how
you take care of you girl when you are in the street; how you help her to take off
her coat.
