IT MUST DIE!

JOHN 12:24 NIV

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it
dies, it bears much fruit.

We have probably come across this verse so often but this morning I desire that God will unlock our
understanding to go deeper in this verse.

In line to our July series, we aim to establish into our hearts that God has designed us for more. From
the previous weeks, we talk about Dreaming Supernatural Dreams. We talk about the importance of
Standing Your Ground.

For this week, God has been speaking to my heart about the one aspect that makes death beautiful. I
know that this month, we have witnessed some of our brethren who passed away for different reasons.
One was tragic, while the other one was due to sickness. I know how hard and difficult it is for the family
to see one of their loves one leave. Sometimes this becomes an opportunity that makes everyone value
life.

One thing that we should bear in our heart and that is, “if you live your life here on earth, you’ll surely
die there. But if your life died here on earth, you shall surely live there.”

Now, if we go back to that passage we read, it is certain true that in order for the seed to grow and bear
fruit, it needs to die.

A farmer in South Dakota was asked about his yield. "What do you put in the ground?" the person
asked. "Two bushel of seed an acre," he said. "And what do you get back?" "Forty to fifty bushel" he
said. Two bushels of seed. Forty to fifty bushels of yield. Think about it. One acre is roughly the size of
a football field, and two bushels of kernels sown into it a grain at a time yields enough wheat for
about 2,500 loaves of bread.

Did you ever realize what a seemingly non-sense seed can become and can produce?
