Plot Summary Oleanna

The drama begins with John, who is receiving a phone call in his office. At that moment Carol
sat opposite him waiting for the professor because she wanted to talk to him. After John finished
receiving the call, Carol told him that she came to his office because she had difficulty
understanding material in his class. Even though she has done all the work and read all the
material. At first, John refuses and is rude to Carol. Carol realizes that John looks upset but he
convinces Carol that he will get an "A" in class as long as Carol agrees to meet with him
personally to discuss lecture material. There John tells Carol that he "likes it" and suddenly he
puts his hand on Carol's shoulder to comfort her, but he shakes it off. It seems that Carol will tell
John a secret but it doesn't because John got a call from his wife and he has to go home. Carol
accused John of sexually harassing her and reported her to the University committee. Allegations
from Carol resulted in John 'tenure and salary increase threatened. John really panicked about the
problem. After revealing Carol's truth about John's treatment of him and as a result John's term
of office was rejected. Besides that John likes to be suspended from universities. Looks like John
still doesn't accept Carol's treatment. The next day, Carol came back to his office to explain to
John that John's treatment while holding his shoulder was sexual harassment. But John still did
not accept, he did not feel that it was sexual harassment. Suddenly John's wife called and he
called her "baby". When Carol heard that, Carol immediately said it was embarrassing to John.
John becomes even more angry with Carol's treatment.
