Dealing with Affordable Care Act Find it Difficult to Know what they can Expect."The

In this article, the main point being put across is that people applying for the Affordable Care
Act are not only not understanding the process, but are angry at the outcomes. They
either end up having to pay more out of pocket, that majority of the people simply dont
have, or are having benefits taken away from them that they solely depend on to get
through. The situation as a whole is at a loss because thus far, they have only made
people mad and not following through with what was promised.

This article focuses more on just geriatric nurses and patients, which is whom the Affordable
Care Act mainly points to. Brody does an awesome job breaking down both the Nurse’s
viewpoint as well as a patient's viewpoint. “Geriatric nurses will be in the forefront of the
potential these changes will have on improving the quality of care older adults receive.”

This article gives the argumentative side of determining whether the Affordable Care Act is
affordable or not. The author explains how demanding it can be with the amount of
money the person would have to pay out of pocket when in reality, they probably don’t
have the money, especially considering the amount having to be paid. This author is not
asking for Obama Care to be terminated, just simply to be changed to better support those
it is affecting, which is specifically the hardest on the elderly.

This article in specific is completely against the Affordable Care Act. The author explains how
ridiculous it is that his 55 year old wife is now receiving maternity benefits, which will
more than likely never be used, but yet the doctors visits before their deductible are being
taken away. So why would they give you one thing that is purposeless and take away one
of the things the family counts on and put to good use?

This article gives insight from a health care officiate’s point of view. They explain they are in
very high demand, up to 5000 new clients they prepared for for the new year as a result
of the Affordable Care Act. The article explains “One of the main goals of the new
health-care law is to help transform the medical industry from one that simply profits
from illness to one that promotes health, prevention and wellness. For example, the new
system will reward programs that reduce costly hospital readmissions.'' This is an
example of something good the Affordable Care Act will be doing for health care
affiliations.

This article explains some pros and cons on a professional level for the Affordable Care Act. The
article says “According to the news editors, the research concluded: "Instead, unstable
employment, changes in income, existing health needs, and bureaucratic barriers shaped
their 'choices.." which in return feels as if things just need tweaking rather than changing
as a whole. There are some benefits to the ACA, but the benefits being taken away and
the headache of it makes people turn away from the situation as a whole.

This Article focuses on whether the Affordable Care Act improves or worsens Patient Safety.
“Access to healthcare is not just a convenience; it is a patient safety issue.” When Lee
expresses this sentence, he is hinting at the fact that healthcare altogether is not
convenient for just about anyone and “Access is already an issue for the Medicaid
population.”

ACT." Contra Costa Times, Jan 06, 2012. ProQuest,

This article is explaining that people jump to terms with the Affordable Care Act way too fast.
The author says “we owe it to ourselves to learn about the Affordable Care Act” which
leads me to believe there are alot of people who still don't truly understand the pros and
cons to this. “This year, Medicare recipients in the "hole" pay only 50 percent for brand
name drugs and 93 percent of the cost for generic drugs, which are much less expensive.”
The author explains that this in particular is a big pro for those that can't really afford
medication.
