The extemal inspection enginter shall be a qulified engineer of an inspection engineering ‘group which is registered with CQHP for inspection works in the project. 2. ‘Theminimum number of engincers inthe group should be 3, 3. The minimum qualification of the leader of the group shall be in accordance with the ‘minimum qualification requirements shown in Guideline 1(B). 4. The minimum qualification forthe members inthe group shall be a follows: Category A: BE (Civil) with minimum 6 years of related experience Category B: BE (Civil) with minimum 4 Years of related experience (Category C: BE (Civil) with minimum 3. years of related experience Duties and Respons 1. The extemal inspection engineer must check before concreting all the rebar, formwork ete. as mentioned in the checklist of Guideline TI to se whether the works done are according to the structural drawings. He/She must fil the forms of check lists and sign on it 2. ‘The external inspection engineer must be atthe site during concreting end check the works of quality contol. He / She has to advise the siteengineers onthe measures that should be taken to meet the requirements of CQHP Guidelines TV and V. 3, The inspection engineering group has to submit the results of inspection and monthly reports toCQHP. COMMITTEE FOR QUALITY CONTROL OF HIGH-RISE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ANNEX (1) TO GUIDELINE IIT NUMBER OF BORE HOLES AND DEPTH OF BORING (20-11-2003 ) . A, Number of Bore Holes For average soil and terain conditions, 1. Up to 10,000 f%, minimum no. of bore holes shall be one bore hole / 2800 A of [wojected building’ area but aot less than 2 holes 2 Ifthe projected area is more than 10,000 (2) for the ist 10,000 17, follow Rale (©) for addtional "ares, no, of additonal bore holes shall be one bore hol!5,000 of projected. building area. For ivegular soil and terain conditions, no. of addtional bore oles will be cided trough consultation between siactural engineer and geotechnical consultant 1B Depth of Boring 1. For shallow foundations, [At least 15 times lesser dimension, but not less than 30‘. IF the depth given by te above guideline is more than the capability ofthe boring machine or for special conditions, Consult the structural engineer 2. For deep foundations, Use the following equation to determine the minimum depth of boring Z= 15 S°7 (Rh, where S istheno. of storeys including basement However, boring shall not be terminated until minimum SPT value forthe last three consecutive levels is 40.
