Guidelines for doing Internship for the 2nd semester students and Problem centered study
(Project) for the 4th semester students of MBA programme in the affiliated colleges of the
University in the year 2020 .

i. In the light of directions given by AICTE in the pretext of COVID -19 pandemic, so as to utilise
the time of students productively, and to avoid the problem of lagging of MBA Programme, students
may be permitted to do Internship and Project by using online resources, as per the schedule fixed
earlier so that the programme may be completed timely.
 ii. Students who already got permission from companies to do Internship/ Project Online, may be
permitted to go ahead with Internship /Project in such companies.

iii. Students who got permission to do Internship/Project (having letter of confirmation from the

company), and such companies which are neither cancelling nor granting permission to do
Internship/Project online, can collect data by contacting the company officials in their respective
companies. For instance, data pertaining to Company profile, Company's products, Customers,
Competitors, Collaborations, CSR Activities, Export/Import, Financial data, Industry Analysis,
Strategies adopted by the company, Future expansion etc. This has to be done strictly in
consultation with the Faculty guide/ Faculty Advisor.

iv. Students who were unable to get the confirmation from Companies, or whose permission was
cancelled by the Companies can visit the website of any major company and collect secondary data
as mentioned above. This has to be done strictly in consultation with the Faculty guide/ Faculty
Advisor. In such cases, it is to be ensured that no two students do their work on the same
Company.

v. For problem centered study (Project), the topic and methodology may be decided in consultation
with the Faculty Guide.

vi. The Reports of Internship and Project shall have a separate chapter titled “Discussion”. This
may include a very objective assessment of the Company and industry (for instance, where the
company chosen for study fare in the industry, what are the competitive advantages of the
company and so on and so forth), based on facts collected by the student. This will be purely the
students contribution and due weightage should be given for this chapter during the evaluation
process.

vii. Students are not likely to get certificate regarding Internship/ Project from companies. Hence,
Principal/ Head of the Institution may issue a Certificate of Internship / Project completion duly
signed by the Faculty Guide/ Faculty Advisor and the same can be attached to the Project Report.

viii. In all cases, the last date for submission of final report of internship may be fixed as 31st May

2020 and that of Project may be fixed as 10th June 2020.
