Problem - 1

Mr. Lokumal who is a motor driver of the State of Rajasthan. On 22 nd February, 2017, Lokumal
was ordered to get take Government jeep car, registered as No. RUM 49, under the Collector of
Udaipur for the necessary repairs at a workshop owned by Govt. After the repairs were finished,
Lokumal, while driving the car back on the evening of February 24 th, 2017 knocked down
Jagdishlal, who was walking on the footpath by the the public road in Udaipur city, causing him
multiple injuries, including fractures of the skull and backbone, resulting in his death three days
later, in the Govt. hospital where he was admitted for treatment. For the treatment purpose
50,000 rs/- were sent.

Mrs. Jyoti, wife of Late Jagdish lal along with her minor daughter aged three year wants to file
case against Lokumal and the State of Rajasthan for damages for the tort aforesaid tort. They
want to claim Rs. 20,00,000/- as compensation.

Problem - 2

By Vide registered rent agreement dated 26th September, 2007, Mr. Rohit (owner of the
property) let out his flat, No.123, First Floor, Vasundhra Apartments, Sector 9, Rohini, Delhi
(hereinafter referred to as the "suit property") to Mr. Uday a period of two years w.e.f. 1st
October, 2012 to 30th September, 2014 at a monthly rent of Rs.8,500/-. After the expiry of the
two years' period parties used to get it orally renewed on half yearly basis upon increase of rent
and the last paid rent was Rs. 11,000/- per month. Till March, 2016, Uday paid rent without any
default but after that he has not paid any rent amount till date.

On 1st December 2017, Rohit demanded by way of notice Rs.2,20,000/- towards the arrears of
rent from 01st April, 2016 upto 30th November, 2017 @ Rs.11,000/- per month along with the
interest @ 18% per annum. The respondent also terminated the tenancy of the appellant w.e.f.
30th November, 2017 and called upon the appellant to hand over the vacant and peaceful
possession of the suit property. To pay such amount one month was given.
After the expiry of one month Rohit wants to file the case against Uday, for possession and
recovery of rent amount with interest and damages for use and occupation of the suit property at
the rate of the current market rent of Rs.35,000/- per month. Rs.35,000/- per month for failing to
obey the notice dated 1st December
