‘Whereas, we honor and respect our elders and citizens of any age with physical or intellectual disabilities
who reside in skilled nursing care centers inthe State of Ok’ahoma; and
‘Whereas, nursing home staffhave made heroic efforts and sacrifices to fight and contain the coronavirus in
our nursing facilites; and
‘Whereas, nursing ome families and residents have also made sacrifices and experienced hardship inthe
fightagunstthe coronavirus and have demonstrated exceptional resolve and compassion and
‘Whereas, im light of ongoing requirements to social distance and restrict visitation, nursing homes are now
finding creative and inspiring ways to allow their residents to contact loved ones, including a variety of safe
Mother's Day events that employ either remote communications or in-person social distancing: and
‘Whereas, | urge all citizens to cal a loved one, family member, or friend residing in any care setting and offer
‘kind word and spend time participating in various virtual activities to encourage those from all walks ofife
‘nneed of our continuinglove and support; and
‘Whereas, my administration is committed to compassionate, quality health care for seniors, we join all
residents, patients, caregivers, nurses, other staf, and volunteers in offering our love and appreciation;
