Reflection: For emotional regulation, grit, and growth mindset I noticed that my

students are not very good with regulating their moods. Although I didn’t receive
the summary early in the year I did notice that my students were unmotivated and I
was able to incorporate classroom dojo mindfulness lessons into my lessons with
my students to help them gain a better understanding of their emotions and
feelings. For self-efficacy I also used classroom dojo mindfulness lessons to help
with increasing a positive classroom environment. I meet 1:1 with students
throughout the day to talk to them on how they are doing, to touch bases with them
on goals for the week, and provide a 1:1 opportunity to work with me individually
and create a positive rapport to build their self-esteem. Social awareness was
another area that was not very high for my students. I address this in the classroom
with class discussion and by using classroom dojo mindfulness lessons as it address
a lot of these points. During indoor recess I try to encourage them to play with each
other especially the ones who don’t have friends. When there are opportunities I try
to incorporate ways on how they can be social aware by acting it out or just having a
class discussion.
