VERSION 1

EFFECT
Card and Number prediction:
The magician informs everyone that he wrote a prediction on his Facebook profile a month back. He asks a spectator
to shuffle a deck, name a number between 1-52 and deal down to that card. He then asks the spectator to take out
his phone and open the magician’s Facebook profile. The spectator notices that the magician posted a status a
month ago where he not only predicted the exact number dealt by the spectator, but also a card at that number.
The spectator turns around the dealt card and it matches with the prediction!

METHOD

Setup:

Before performance, do the following:

1. Open Chrome/Safari and go to facebook.com
2. Select Desktop Mode (from Settings in Chrome & from Share button in Safari).
3. m.facebook.com opens so replace the m with www to open www.facebook.com
4. Go to your Profile and write this in your status bar:
I just had a strange dream where my friend was playing cards & dealt
5. Exit Chrome/Safari and continue using the phone normally until your performance.

Performance:

To perform this effect, you need a marked deck. The spectator names a number and deals to it. You note the mark
on the card’s back. Then you use any of the misdirection methods mentioned in the next page to do the following:

1. Open Chrome/Safari, write the dealt card and spectator’s number at the end of your status (Eg: “3H@30” for
3 of Hearts at 30th position) and then post your status.
2. Click the 3 dots on your status and select “Change Date”.
3. Change the month to the previous month and click “Save”.

Then ask the spectator to - open his Chrome/Safari, go to your FB Profile and see your prediction (picture below).

2
Misdirection Methods:

1. Miscall Profile Name – Create a new Facebook profile (like I created Debjit Prediction). After the cards are
dealt, I say "Take out your phone, open Facebook and go to The Debjit Predictions (miscall).” While the
spectator does that, I take out my phone and say “I haven’t used that profile in a month... I’ll just check if it's
the correct name." I do the dirty work and then I tell the spectator my actual profile name.

2. Laggy Internet – You pretend to open your profile from your phone to show the prediction. But then you say
your internet is slow or your phone is lagging and secretly do the dirty work. Then ask the spectator to check
the prediction from his phone.

3. Forward Profile Link – Have your Facebook profile link ready to forward. Tell the spectator “I’ll text you my
profile link” and do the dirty work while pretending to retrieve your profile link.

4. Take Picture – Ask the spectator to write the dealt number on his notepad app and then you pretend to take
a picture for your “future memory" and do the dirty work while asking him to pose for the picture.

OPTIONAL TIPS

1. Bookmark www.facebook.com/profile.php and open it after selecting Desktop Mode.

2. Have the prediction in your Notes app, copy it from there and paste it in the Facebook Status bar.
3. If you don’t have marked cards, you may palm a card and place it on the pile casually after the spectator has
dealt to his number. Or you may put the card under a notepad and place the notepad on the dealt pile.

NOTES
1. The Android FB App and Chrome/Safari browser does not show the Clock symbol on backdated posts and
there is no way for the spectator to know the post was backdated!
However the Clock symbol does appear on the iPhone FB App so if your spectator has an iPhone, ask him to
open Safari and then go to Facebook to see your status.
The Clock symbol also appears on a computer so you should delete the post after the trick is over to be sure
no one checks later from their computer or iPhone FB App. You may deselect Desktop mode on your
Chrome/Safari, take a screenshot of the post, share it on Facebook and then delete the original prediction.

2. Do not use the backdating method on a Facebook Fan Page as the “Edit History” can be checked.

3. Post a link of your Fan Page on your Facebook Profile (picture below) and tell spectators beforehand that if
the dealt card matches your prediction, they would have to like your Page.

3
VERSION 2

EFFECT
Confabulation:
The magician selects 3 spectators. He asks the 1st spectator to name her favourite food, the 2nd spectator to name
her favourite celebrity and the 3rd spectator to name her favourite holiday destination. The magician then instantly
shows he had predicted everything in advance on Facebook!

METHOD
The method is same as Version 1. However in this case, your assistant posts the prediction and changes the date.
Since your assistant has more time and no heat on him, he can enter more information and can also backdate the
prediction to a particular date and time. He may also tag the choices like Shakira and Italy in the picture below.

NOTES
1. If you do not want to share your Facebook password with your assistant, you may create a new FB Profile.

2. If your assistant is not with you, you may call him and put the phone on speaker mode in your shirt pocket.
Then just repeat the spectator’s information and your assistant can hear and enter them in your FB post.

3. As the Clock symbol does appear on the iPhone FB App, if you’re performing for a large audience, it is safer
to ask everyone to open Safari/Chrome and then go to Facebook to see your status.

4
VERSION 3

EFFECT
Newspaper Headline Prediction:
The magician predicts the results of an event like the World Cup or America’s Got Talent, weeks in advance!

METHOD
1. Write each possible winner in separate Facebook posts and publish them with the Privacy set to “Only Me”.
2. After the winner is declared, make the correct post Public.

The post will have the previous date and there is no way for anyone to know the post was backdated.

NOTES
1. Ask few of your friends to like and comment on each prediction post (as in picture above) to make it more
believable. Then make the posts Private.
2. Posts on a Facebook Fan Page cannot be made private so this method is not applicable for Fan Pages.
3. You can also use this method on Instagram by uploading pictures of all prediction outcomes and Archiving
them. After knowing the results, Unarchive the correct image.

4. You can also use the method on YouTube by uploading videos of all prediction outcomes as Public and then
making them Unlisted. After knowing the results, make the correct video Public again.

5
ADDITIONAL EFFECTS
As shown in the video, you may upload images of the prediction outcomes and set them to Private. After the
spectator names his choice, make the correct image Public with misdirection discussed earlier.

Here are a few ideas of the predictions you can make:

1. Name a number from 1 to 10

Upload 10 private pictures, each showing a number from 1-10. Let’s say the spectator chooses 7. You would
then simply make the image with 7 public.

2. Take out a Bill

Upload private pictures of all currency denominations. Ask a spectator to take out any bill and then you
make the correct image public.

3. Birthday Month
Upload 12 private pictures, each showing a month from January – December. Ask a spectator to name the
month he was born on and then you make the correct image Public.

4. Star Sign
Upload 12 private pictures of the Star Signs. Ask a spectator to name his Star Sign and then you make the
correct image Public.

5. Triple Coin Toss

Ask the spectator to toss 3 coins or an imaginary coin 3 times and tell you the outcome – whether Heads (H)
or Tails (T).
There are only 8 possible outcomes: HHH, HHT, HTH, THH, THT, TTH, HTT, TTT.
Then make the image with the correct outcome Public.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

I hope you enjoyed the Social Prediction video and Guide Book.

Remember, the methods are simply used to make a prediction in advance. The effects and presentations you
perform with the methods are limitless and completely up to you. You may use Imp Pads, Peek devices, Centre Tears
and other methods to gain access to the spectator’s thought of information.

I have performed Social Prediction over phone calls, messages, radio and Skype to make predictions as intimate as a
person’s favourite movie to predicting the winners of the 2018 World Cup. So I hope you see the potential of these
methods and perform some truly powerful miracles with them.

Thank you for purchasing this download.
