Annotation of Worksheet

• Need native language

▪ Lack of bilingual text (include native language)
▪ Name and date will be in English as student will be able to recognise that
name and date is required there, as do that every lesson.
• Need clear objectives
▪ Writing is too close together, which will make it hard to distinguish
between questions and read them (separate once pages are bigger)
▪ Boxes too small to write in (make it two boxes per page)
• Need visual representations
▪ Add images of each technology into the boxes to act as visual aids
• Need scaffolding/modelling
▪ Worksheet is good in that it scaffolds the answers
▪ When completing worksheet, needs to be modelled. Teacher does the first
box with students. Second box is done in groups. Rest of boxes are filled in
as other groups tell class answers.
• Need opportunities to communicate
▪ Rather than each person in group doing a different technology, the group will
do a technology together. This allows for communication between group
members and support for EAL/D student.
