to take the numbers and
interpret them directly in the
context of the situation.

General Challenges and Responses

The student struggled with coming up with a definite conclusion based on the results.
Their explanation of why the standard deviation could be 0 is very vague, so I would ask
them to clarify why. I would ask them what the definition of standard deviation is and
how it relates to the mean. Recalling the definition could help them reason it with the
situation at hand.
