Lady Gaga’s much anticipated new album Chromatica is due out at the end of this

month – and one song has her fans and Blackpink’s fans going crazy

Excitement for Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated sixth studio album has been building up since the singer-
turned-actress wowed audiences in A Star is Born.

And it seems the upcoming album “Chromatica” has been worth the wait, because Gaga is treating fans to
A-list collaborations with the likes of Ariana Grande, Elton John, and yes, South Korea’s very own
Blackpink.

Here’s what we know about the pop megastar’s upcoming track with the girl band. 

The track is called Sour Candy 

Lady Gaga confirmed the Blackpink collaboration Sour Candy alongside the full “Chromatica” track list
by posting it on her official social media channels.

They’re fans of each other

Korea’s YG Entertainment also confirmed the collaboration song with Gaga via Naver news, stating that
Blackpink and Lady Gaga listen to each other’s music and became fans of each other’s work, and that the
collaboration was arranged organically.

We’ll have to wait until May 29 to hear it

“Chromatica” was initially scheduled for an April 10 release, but Gaga decided to postpone it due to the
Covid-19 pandemic. Needless to say, fans were initially devastated, but that all changed when Gaga teased
her “little monsters” with the full track list and album cover a few weeks later. All will be revealed when
Gaga finally drops the new album on May 29.

Don’t be surprised if you hear it sooner than that

If there’s one thing we know about highly anticipated album releases, is that they’re often leaked by
hackers ahead of the official release date. Lady Gaga’s last album, 2016’s award-winning “Joanne”, leaked
online three days ahead of its scheduled release. Despite the piracy drama, the album still shot to number
one on the Billboard albums chart.
