MANGROVE

Mangrove forests or mangrove forests are forests that are in brackish

water environments. This forest is a forest that is highly influenced by the
presence of tides. Mangroves also have the characteristics of plants that have roots
sticking to the surface. It grows in brackish water areas, namely waters which
consist of a mixture of fresh water and salt water, its presence is mainly in areas
that experience lubrication and also the accumulation of organic matter.
These mangroves also have animals in them, one of which is crab crabs,
the climbing purple crab (Metopograpus sp), gun shrimp (Alpheus sp), gelodok
fish (Periophthalmus sp) and hermit crabs (Coenobita sp). This mangrove forest
has a function, for example as neutralizing air on Earth which has been
contaminated with various pollutants in the air. Aside from being an air purifier,
mangrove forests also play a role as an antidote to floods and landslides. In
addition the forest also acts as a counterweight to the ecosystem and stores water
reserves in the roots of the tree.
