Very bad.
5.-do mexico counts with water treatment technology? Do a research about this topic!!
In Mexico, only 47.5 percent of the wastewater generated by the municipalities is treated,
despite the fact that the country promised that in 2030 it would treat all the water collected in
the municipal systems sewer. In addition, there are at least 430 plants for wastewater
treatment out of operation, according to the National Inventory of Municipal Plants for
Purification and Treatment of Wastewater in Operation, published in 2011 by the National
Water Commission (Conagua).
The issue is not minor: wastewater is the main source of contamination of rivers, canals and
lakes, which impacts the disappearance of vegetation and the extinction of fish and other
aquatic species, in addition to limiting the use of water for productive purposes such as
artisanal fishing, irrigation and human consumption, as specified in the document Wastewater
Treatment in Mexico, prepared by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Data from the Mexican Center for Environmental Law illustrates the size of the impact of
wastewater: each liter of wastewater contaminates approximately eight liters of fresh water.
Using only the necessary. Not wasting it and reusing the water.
