Brief Overview for the Online Class Procedure

THEE TYPES OF CLASSES:


A. Live Class (asynchronous) – ALC - Students view live lectures online and participates in scheduled discussions
through videoconferencing. This gives more student-faculty interaction and networking. Require group projects where
students communicate virtually, as well as remote presentations. They still need to meet weekly deadlines.

B. Self-paced –BSP- students complete a given coursework on their own time with scheduled consultation with the
teacher via online. The student needs to meet specific deadlines for the passing of output set by the teacher.

C. Modular Learning- CML - Students engaged themselves in learning concepts presented in the module. There will be
little or no assistance from the teacher, the learners progressed on their own. They will learn how to learn; in this way
they will develop a sense of responsibility in accomplishing the tasks provided in the module.

HOW DO STUDENTS TAKE THEIR EXAMS?


ALC and BSP - - They will take virtually monitored exams online, where a proctor watches via webcam.
Mode of Assessment:
a) Time Pressured on the spot test/quizzes
b) Open Book with appropriate time limit
c) Oral Test
d) On-Screen Test: Where computer software detects cheating by checking the test-takers' screens.}(In

e) Google Forms

Modular students may need to visit a local testing site, with an on-site proctor considering strict safety
procedures.

STUDENT SERVICES: the adviser will also provide the following services to the students: Tech Support, Counseling
and Librarian Assistance.

GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS:


Find a location with strong Wi-Fi signal, find a clear background and ensure plenty of natural light. When using
webcam, turn your camera off to reduce lag.

TEACHER’S MODE OF DELIVERY:


Teacher’s will use the following GOOGLE FEATURE:

1. GOOGLE MEET to create video calls and invite the entire class and to show students how to enable subtitles.
2. AUDIENCE Q&A in Slides to get real time questions from students which can be up voted by the rest of the class.
3. CALENDAR APPOINTMENT and invite your class to watch.
4. LIVE STREAM to create a video meeting. Teacher’s dicretion on the use of other wd app like “ZOOM” and “SKYPE”.
5. GOOGLE CLASSROOM to set assignments, encourages collaboration, and support communication with students when
teaching from home. Teacher’s encourage discussion by having students post questions and comments in Google
Classroom.
6. GOOGLE SITES you can easily create a private class website to host lesson information, worksheets, videos and more.
7. GOOGLE FORMS to set and automatically mark quizzes and assessments
8. GOOGLE DOCS to provide quick, in-context feedback whilst students work.
9. GOOGLE CALENDAR to set up appointment slots and allow students to book time for individuals or small groups.
10. JAMBOARD AND SCREEN SHARING to demonstrate concepts or have students collaborate on mind maps, diagrams,
etc.

STUDENTS HELP:
Students can use voice typing to enter, edit, and format text in Docs and Slides, all without a keyboard.
EMERGENCY CASES FOR ONLINE CLASSES:
If there will be no electricity and internet connection is low, make sure that the module were already sent to the
students with detailed instruction of the assigned activity so that the student can independently study and do the task
even without the teacher’s live discussion .
