Consumer Info: Business Info: Alpha Warranty Services, Inc

Location Involved: (Same as above)

Consumer's Original Complaint :

Alpha Warranty Services has failed to fulfill its part of the warranty.
I had a recent failure on my car I purchased the warranty for with its front struts. I have the A+ enhanced coverage which covers
basic suspension and enhanced suspension issues. Alpha Warranty has denied my claim saying that the struts are not covered
under my plan because it doesn't specifically say struts. Many people know that the struts are also called other things like the
shocks package, control arms, etc. But what I am really upset about is that they have a recent paid claim from someone that has
less coverage than I do yet they still paid to have his struts replaced. Here is the exact copy from their website,
"03 November 2014

Amre H. took his 2002 Infiniti I35 into a service center when he noticed fluid leaks and heard noise in the suspension. The
mechanics found that the power steering rack had been leaking and the rear struts were noisy. They also found that the right lower
ball joint/control arm, right front hub bearing, and both front sway bar links had all failed. In order to get this vehicle running properly
again, they would need to replace the steering rack, rear struts, ball joint/control arm, hub bearing, and sway bar links. The total cost
of this repair came to $980.77, all of which was covered under the Alpha Tiered Extended Coverage contract that he had purchased
with his vehicle."

When I told them this they simply said that the contracts are different and I said that is correct, I have more coverage than this
person does so they should be covered. I asked what coverage plan would cover the struts and she said the full coverage plan so I
looked up that plan on their site and I have the exact coverage as the full warranty for the suspension.

This business has unfair and deceptive practices that are anti-consumer and should not have a high rating as there are many
testimonials online that say the same things. If this is not resolved in a timely manner, I will be forced to take this up with the
Attorney General's office and other legal routes as well as the FTC for the false claims presented as part of their sales pitch.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:

That they fulfill their part of the plan and pay for the struts to be replaced on my car based on the false advertising claims that they
replaced another consumer's struts who had basic coverage versus the enhanced coverage I have paid for.
