Many animals lost their homes when Hurricane Harvey hit last 2017. One rescue dog, a charming pup
named Bailey, was fortunate that she found her forever home with Tessa Llewellyn Holmes. Basking in
the warmth of her new home, Bailey was free to play and run around to her heart’s content.

Tessa’s home had a fenced-in yard, an ideal setup since Bailey loved romping around by herself. She was
at her happiest when she gets to explore and play around in the yard, with or without her dog brother.
But everything changed when a new dog moved in next door.

Tessa’s neighbor also decided to adopt a dog, bringing home a dog named Shep. Like Bailey, he loved
playing around in his new family’s yard, goofing around by his lonesome. It was a matter of time before
the two dogs started to sense each other’s presence beyond the fence separating their yards.

Tessa noticed Bailey was doing a lot of digging under the fence. Little did she know that her neighbor’s
dog was doing the same thing. Through the resulting hole, Bailey and Shep were able to touch noses as
they met for the first time.

Excitement filled Bailey, causing her to constantly jump on her mom’s elevated flowerbed to take a peek
at her new playmate next door. The fence truly was one big hurdle for them to overcome, but soon the
clever pups found a way to cross it and finally meet each other face to face.

True enough, they found a loose part of the fence. It was a weak spot that they took advantage of, just a
little bit of maneuvering did the trick. Finally, Shep and Bailey were together at last.

Tessa noticed a different jingling sound from her yard. When she looked outside, she was surprised to
find Shep playing with her Bailey. The pair’s excitement at finally being able to play together had them
running around the yard for hours.

Tessa and her neighbors came to an agreement to let the dogs get together for playdates. Obviously,
Bailey and Shep wholeheartedly agreed.
