According to Republic Act 9211, otherwise known as the Tobacco

Regulation Act of 2003, smoking is prohibited in public places such as: 

 clinics, hospitals, health centers, laboratories, playgrounds, schools,

dormitories, recreational facilities,
 elevators and stairwells, gas stations, public utility vehicles,
 terminals, government offices, sidewalks,
 major and secondary roads around the metro.

First-time offenders will be fined P500, while those who cannot afford the
fine may render 8 hours of community service.

For second-time offenders, the fine is elevated to P1,000 to P5,000 while

those who will violate for a third time will have to shell out P5,000 to
P10,000.

The Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB),

meanwhile, will be handling violations committed by public utility drivers.

Drivers who will violate the no-smoking policy will be fined P500 for the
first offense, P5,000 and a possible suspension of franchise for the operator
on the second offense, and a revocation of license on the third offense.
