GUIDE QUESTIONS:

1. What happened to the recessive trait of P1? How did it appear in F2?

- The recessive trait of P1 appeared on F2 because F2’s parents is both Heterozygous.

Meaning that both the recessive and dominant gene will each have a Homozygous
Genotype.

- The recessive trait did not appear in F1 because its parents are Hetero and Homozygous.

2. Does being a recessive trait means that it will never be manifested physically? Why?

- No, a recessive trait has the possibility to be manifested physically. That is because in every
generation, depending on the parents’ the recessive trait might change because of the
difference in its genotype. Mostly, recessive traits come out two or more generations later
because for it to show up, it needs two heterozygous parents.
