The Salem witchcraft trials this was a series of local hearings,
later formal judicial processes were given, all these processes
were carried out by the authorities with the aim of
prosecuting them and later, in case of guilt, punishing crimes
of witchcraft in the counties of Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex
in the then English colony of Massachusetts in ancient times
everything that had to do with the Catholic religion was very
governed.
Witchcraft trials were not unusual in the British Colonies. The
first recorded case was Alse Young, in Connecticut, in 1647.
Spaced by years between 1647 and 1692, about twenty other
cases occurred in New England, with the main focus being on
Boston and Springfield; however, they were isolated
elements, sometimes occurring every three or four years, and
no more than two accused at a time, each time these cases
were taken into account to carry out legal proceedings and
are found guilty of the witchcraft they carried out.
arrestadas: Tituba, Sarah Osborne y Sarah Good.
