Dear Nancy,

Thanks a lot for your letter. Lovely to hear from you. It’s been ages since we last saw each other. Great
news about your new fashion hobby! I was really pleased to hear that you finally found out that dressing
well and buying new clothes really make you feel like a dog with two tails. I hope you and your family are
well. Sorry, I haven't been in touch. I really should have replied sooner, but I was overwhelmed with my
exams. I thought I’d take a few minutes to write to you with the information you asked for.

To begin with, I'm gonna express my subjective opinion now about resent-day fashions. I'm a big fan of
some present trends like shorts of all proportions, square toe boot, and modern folk. As well as that
today's fashion industry calls people to avoid wearing real leather and fur. For example, there was a vegan
fashion week in Los Angeles where Chanel announced that it would no longer use exotic skins in its
products.

You know, it doesn't sound like a good idea for me to make shopping very often. But if I do it, I prefer to
go to a huge shopping mall in the center of my city. Apart from this, I don't like to be alone in this rare
moment. It is required for me to have someone near me, who can read my thoughts and has excellent
taste. And usually, it is my mum.

Finally, as you asked for my advice, I should give you some. First of all, according to my life experience,
most of the clothes that you want to buy in famous fashion designers shops, you can find in the mass-
market shops like Zara, Bershka, Mango, etc. and usually it has the similar design and color. Secondly, if
you're one hundred percent sure that you want a real Dior bag, you should research some discounts on it
in the online shops. And thirdly, please, dear, you must build a healthy relationship with your parents.
Just think of them as fellow adults, rather than as your parents and try to make money by yourself.

Anyway, I have to sign off now as my mum has bombarded me with errands. Pass on my regards to your
family. I will contact you again shortly. I’d appreciate it if you could give me some advice about how to
choose a university major. Let’s discuss it over a coffee next week. Well, that’s all for now. Do write back
soon.

Yours till pigs fly,

Beatrix
