S04 Short Fiction Reflection

I feel like whenever I write fiction short stories, they are very repetitive, but not for this one. I

took a unique idea of a mixture of Home Alone and other YouTube videos to get an irregular, yet

interesting idea, for my fictional story. My diction in this story had very high standards and I was

surprised how close it sounded to some of my favorite authors like James Dashner. My dialogue

in this story drastically improved from my biographical narrative, which was pleasant to see.

Some things which weren’t as well done in this story were imagery and expanding important

scenes. For the duration of when my story took place, my story was a little short. This was due to

lack of imagery and rhetorical devices, which made me understate a lot of things. If I can

improve my imagery and use more rhetorical devices next time around, the story will be more

interesting and overall better.
