Short Functional Text (teks fungsional pendek) adalah teks pendek yang

memiliki fungsi, makna dan tujuan tertentu yang digunakan dalam kehidupan
sehari-hari.

1. SHORT MESSAGE
Short message artinya pesan singkat. Pesan singkat ini bisa berupa SMS, e-mail, dan memo.

Announcement artinya pengumuman. Kita sering temui jenis teks di public area (ruang public), at
school (di sekolah), at hospital (di rumah sakit), dll.
The Functions: to provide complete and clear information about certain events or occasion.

3. NOTICE
Notice artinya pemberitahuan. Notice dibagi menjadi command (perintah), caution (peringatan),
information (informasi), dan prohibition (larangan).
The Functions of notice:
- Prohibition notifies people not to do something. People may find this kind of notice in a public
places.
- Caution or warning warns people to be careful in handling something. Ignoring the notice may cause
injury or breaking the facilities.
