Good afternoon today I will talk about what is the integrative project that we carry

out in the school this consists of a pipe solder machine which is automated
through a PLC a belt motor and pulley, we did a thorough investigation at the VTC
plant west this plant is dedicated to making transformers for different national
and international sectors they always have problems with oil leaks and breakages
in welds which causes a strong impact on the economy because it includes what
is the time spent fixing, customer complaints, paying extra time to employees,
materials to use for this rework

then we came to the conclusion that these problems their root cause was by
welds not well penetrated into the tubes because it is well known that when
welded in a tube the weld is not uniform because it is welding in parts because it
is rotating the tube.

we gave ourselves the task of implementing this machine so that we could weld
the tubes evenly through the control of the rotation and the application of welding
applying our knowledge obtained in the industrial maintenance career we were
able to solve this situation and save the company money and next loss of
customers due to these frequent failures or errors within its product as express,
this machine consists of a metal base an engine that rotates at 3 RPM so that the
rotation is slow and the welding can fit well to the motor we placed a pulley and
we put a rotary chuck with 4 jaws that holds us the tube concentrically without
losing the center, its counterpart we placed two bars with ball bearings that
would help us to maintain the center and hold the other part of the tube to be
welded, we place a micro-room welding machine this because it is easier to
handle and place when it's going to be welded, we put it in control through a PLC
that we programmed so that it would turn on the engine and turn on a green
spotlight when the torch comes down and start welding a Red focus which will
tell us that it is welding and let us take warnings, after this it will turn back a
yellow spotlight which will warn us that the welding process ended and the green
focus will turn back on so that we can start the process again.

all this knowledge we obtained thanks to the teachers and practices in the school
I hope and these practices and will of the teachers continue to prosper for the
next generations. UPPER THE UTCH
