LETTER OF MOTIVATION

Dear Sir or Madam,

With this letter, I would like to express my interest in the Erasmus+ Student exchange
programme.
My name is Augustina Maslov, I am twenty-seven years old postgraduate from Split, Croatia.

I am currently enrolled in the postgraduate programme in Accounting at the University of Split,

Faculty of Economics in Croatia. Having looked through the info materials provided by the
Erasmus+, I was very delighted to find the opportunity to spend the last semester studying in
Turkey. I have decided to apply for this programme because I am sure it would strongly enrich
my future studies and help me in my future career. Moreover, I consider this as a great
opportunity to get in touch with other cultures and educational system. Following at the moment
Accounting as specialization, I am very curious about different approaches to this subject at the
foreign university. I am very passionate for Accounting as a field of study as well as a career
path. As I believe every individual should aspire to change the society for the better, I have
chosen Accounting, particulary Audit as my field of interest, being a study of interpreting
finantial reports of pillars of economy and therefore society.
My previous work experiences, from a waitress, to a booker in an office, have allowed me to
improve my relational-skills, such as listening and satisfying customer needs as well as working
under pressure and in big teams to achieve the goals set. I also consider myself to be an open-
minded individual, who enjoys meeting new people and learning about new cultures, travel,
reading, sports and exploring nature and historical sites.

I consider that, firstly, this experience would allow me to improve my interpersonal skills, which
I believe, are very important in any and all areas I wish to have a career in.

Secondly, the opportunity of spending 4 months in Turkey would help me learn a new language
and a different culture, but also better understand my own culture.

Lastly, it would enhance both my professional and personal development. When I will finish my
postgraduate programme and begin my career in accounting, I believe that this experience will
have made me a better prepared individual.

Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.

Yours faithfully,
Augustina Maslov.
