NOTICE @ The machine comes standard with two USB flash drives: One for system files and the other for processing programs The USB flash drive for system files is labeled with a machine serial number. It stores important machine information and must not be used to back up processing programs and other data. Keep it carefully. NOTE @ Do not use other than the accessory USB flash drive. AMADA do not guarantee the operation of commercial USB flash drives. [3] EMERGENCY STOP button Pressed in an emergency to stop all motions of the machine (including the ram and backgauge). [6] TWO OPERATORS keyswitch (option) ‘Added when the machine is equipped with an additional foot pedal unit at the right side. Tumed to $4 (ON) to enable the lft and right foot pedal units Tumed to «2 (OFF) to enable the left foot pedal unit only. [7] MOTOR keyswitch Turned to c{[]) (ON) to tun on the main power to the ram and backgauge and to illuminate the light above the switch. Turned to © (OFF) to turn off the main power to the ram and backgauge and to extinguish the light above the switch. NOTE @ Once tured to c{[]) (ON), the main power to the ram and backgauge is not turned off, even when the machine is in an emergency stop or alarm condition. However, unless you operate the CLOSING foot pedal for 10 minutes, the main power to the ram and backgauge is automatically turned off. 2. Foot pedal unit [1] CLOSING foot pedal | Has a three-step mechanism of stop, close, and son | In the first step, press the pedal to close the ram. Release the pedal to stop the ram in that position, In the second step with the pedal pressed Rn, and ram closed in the first step, press the Be as pedal further to stop the ram in the next. NOTE @ When the CLOSING foot pedal is pressed too slowly, the ram may not close. In this case, release and press again the pedal. [2] OPENING foot pedal Pressed to open the ram. Depending on the actual position of the ram and the ON/OFF state of the START button, the opening motion of the ram varies. a) When the ram is below the pinching point As long as the OPENING foot pedal is pressed and held, the ram opens at low speed. b)When the ram is above the pinching point and the START button is extinguished As long as the OPENING foot pedal is pressed and held, the ram opens at low speed. ¢)When the ram is above the pinching point and the START button is illuminated When the OPENING foot pedal is pressed, the ram opens to the multiple opening limit. When pressed again, the ram opens to the maximum opening limit. [8] TEST button (option) ‘Added when the machine is equipped with an optional Lazer Safe. (For details, refer to the Operator's Manual of the Lazer Safe.) [9] START button (light built in) Enabled when a program mode display is shown on the touch screen. Pressed and illuminated to start the automatic operation of the machine. ‘When the button is pressed and illuminated, the backgauge starts moving to the target position. [10] STOP button Enabled when a program mode display or the Main display is shown on the touch screen. Pressed to stop the zero-return and automatic operation of the machine. When the button is pressed, all axes come to a stop. [11] SET button Pressed to set the target value of the specified axis in its Real Pos. field and to end its teaching operation. [12] Handwheel Used to position each axis. Tumed clockwise to move the axis in the minus direction and counterclockwise to move the axis in the plus direction. 3-6 1 setup Q) nogwa aan (Optional AKAS, PSENVip, or Lazer Safe equipped machine) = (SETUP) tool change can be made. In this mode, the closing speed of the ram becomes low. NOTE @ Whether or not you can move the ram in the SETUP mode depends on the openiclosed state of the side guards. a) Either of the side guards is open: You can move the ram b) Both of the side guards are open: You cannot move the ram. 0 (OFF) All-axis motions are stopped. ae Pt = (NORMAL) * or The ram closes when the CLOSING foot pedal is pressed and immediately stops when the CLOSING foot pedal is released. When the CLOSING foot pedal is pressed and held, the ram closes to the D-axis target value and then opens to the multiple opening limit or maximum opening limit after the time that is set in the EOB Holding field passes. NOTE @ When the CLOSING foot pedal is released while force is applied, the force is removed (no-load condition). @ The ram does not move at all in the NORMAL mode when either or both of the side guards are open.
