1. Cooperative Principles
a. Open and Voluntary Membership- Open to all persons regardless of race,gender,
religion and etc.
b. Democratic Member Control- The control is upon the members/ majority who
actively participate in policies and making decisions.
c. Members' Economic Participation - Members allocate surpluses for any or all of the
cooperative purposes. Hence, benefiting members in proportion to their transactions
and supporting other activities approved by the membership.
d. Autonomy and Independence Cooperative - self-help organizations controlled by the
members. Entering into agreement must ensure the democratic control as well as their
unique identity.
e. Education, Training and Information - Effectively contribute to the development of
their cooperatives.
f. Cooperation among Cooperatives - Local, National, Regional and international
structures that working together improves services and deal more with social and
community needs.
g. Concern for Community - Sustainable development of their environment and
communities through policies supported membership.

2. Objectives of the Cooperatives


a. Providing, in the best possible conditions, the financial advice and services that
members need.
b. Contributing to the cooperative, economic and financial education of members, that is
to provide them with a way to achieve independence.
c. Promoting and supporting community development.
d. Cooperate with the government, other cooperatives and people-oriented organizations
to further the attainment of any of the foregoing objectives.

3. Discuss the Process of Registration.


*3.) Discuss the process of registration?
Registration is the process by which a company files required documents with the Securities and
Exchange Commission (SEC), detailing the particulars of a proposed public offering. They must
also register with the state or states in which they intend to sell securities if such state laws
require them to do so.
a. Drafting of Documents- feasibility and legal requirements, propose activity exist.
b. Formation meeting - finalize the particulars cooperative.
c. Apply to register your cooperative- The chairperson and secretary sign to copies of
the rules certifying they are approved and the disclosure statement certifying it is
approved
4. Members of Cooperative:
- A cooperative has two kinds of members: regular members and associate members. A
regular member is one who has complied with all the membership requirements and
entitled to all the rights and privileges of membership as stated in the Cooperative
Code and the cooperative by laws.

5. The obligations of the Cooperative


- Members of the board of directors of a cooperative have the same duties and
responsibilities as do board members of any other business. Cooperatives are member
organizations, unlike most other businesses. This places a unique responsibility on
cooperative directors to be sensitive to the needs of members and balance their
conflicting interests. Effective member control is impossible without information.
The director’s duty is to provide the membership with the information.

6.Who administer the Cooperative?


- The General Assembly - The general assembly shall be composed of such members
who are entitled to vote under the articles of cooperation and bylaws of the
cooperative.
- Management should be regarded as a team consisting of four elements — members
(owners), board of directors (elected), the manager (hired), and other responsible
employees (paid).
