I am severally facing of problem of low throughput due to very high frame Loss in node b.

But i have very less knowledge regarding Frame Loss.

Why do you know your low throughput because high frame loss: you trace, you driving test or you check
your counters?

You should check you meet in one, two or three cellsin one NodeB?

If three cells in one NodeB, maybe you meet the issue with the transmission.

There is a feature in NSN called HSDPA congestion control feature since RU10. According to the feature
NodeB monitors HSDPA Data frame from RNC and based on the delay it allocates credits(# of MAC-d
frames which determines throughput)via HSDPA capacity allocation frame to the RNC, RNC than sends
#MAC-D frames in a HSDPA data frame. The delay is controlled by parameters which are Thmin and
Thmax. There are counters associated with HSDPA data frame delay and loss in M5000 group. If you are
experiencing high data frame losses its likely the Iub link is faulty(configuration fault) or experiencing
high congestion.

Trouble shooting Steps:

Check Iub utilization. Usually same link is shared among many sites check if the degradation is on all the
sites.

If the configured bandwidth has been misconfigured(example: VLAN BW of IP link etc).

Check the utilization level of the link.

Check Thmin, Thmax parameters.
