A new clinical trial was conducted introducing a new


“Atrovastatin” to lower the levels of triglycerides and their
Body Mass Indexes (BMI) , in hopes of lowering their
weight and stubborn belly fat caused by a high cholesterol
diet. ​A total of 8 participants are randomized to receive
either the new drug or a placebo. Participants are asked to
record their body mass index over a period of 3 months.

The null hypothesis H0​ : all participants in the clinical


trial, those who took the drug and those who took the
placebo, have the same Body mass index.

The alternative hypothesis H1​ : participants that have


taken the drug have a lower BMI than those who have
taken a placebo.
