Relationships among students

Relationships among students are the positive connections between students and peers in the
school setting that foster positive social interaction and establish a nurturing environment of trust
and support. Building these relationships require perspectives that embrace positive attitudes and
understanding of the needs and experiences of students, and an understanding of the school
environment.
First of all, social connections are an important source of fun, pleasure, sense of security, and
support, all of which play into maintaining good physical and emotional health. In my opinion,
whether we are facing personal problems or difficulties with a school subject and we need some
help, or we just want to spend time with our friends, these relationships play a critical role in how we
function in our day-to-day life.
Secondly, about making friends, I think that the individual student is not supposed to do this alone,
because there are also students who can be introverted and they may not have this ability. For this
reason, colleges should organize various activities or events for us, students, to join and especially to
communicate with each other and make new friends.
Not at least, as college students, we spend most of our time in front of the books. Whether we
study in class, or preparing for an upcoming test or exam, these are things that we normally do as
students because it is our duty, but I believe that it’s also important to make time for a social life.
Many teachers may not think we have time to spend in building relationships, but having a social life
doesn’t mean that we have to neglect our tasks. It is a matter ok knowing how to balence both.
To sum up, relationships among students are an essential part of college life, because they can also
have an impact on student’s academic performace and may even discourage negative and deviant
behaviours. Developing positive relationships, we learn more about ourselves and how important it is
to have friends who know and understand us.
