19 years old lady, history of traffic accident 6 hours before admitted to hospital. From
physical examination : swelling(+), no wounds.
Question:
1. How you describe the Xray completely?
2. What is your diagnosis?
3. How you manage this patient?
4. What are the potential complications of this injury?

1. X-Ray qualifications :
o AP and lateral X-rays of the right forearm are performed.
o Patient identification is present.
o Bone structure is good.
o 2 joints is present in the X-Ray.
2. Structure and bone trabeculae : No abnormality on Radius bone, Ulnar bone and wrist
Joint and elbow.
3. Soft tissues : Swelling of soft tissues, No dislocation on wrist and
elbow joints.
4. Fracture
o Region : Middle 1/3 of both ulnar and radial bone
o Type of Fracture : Closed Non-Displaced Transverse Fracture
on the right radius. Closed Non-Displaced oblique
fracture on the right ulnar bone.
o Alignment : Good
o Angulation : (-)
o Position : Radius

Diagnosis: Closed Transverse Fracture on the 1/3 middle right radius and Oblique Fracture
on the right ulnar bone.

Management :
 Pharmacology : Give IV Analgesic
 Non-Pharmacology : Do a temporary Forearm Splinting, educate patient about
surgery, Refer to Orthopedic Specialist for surgical management as soon as
possible.
