IMPACTS OF LEARNING RESOURCES TO TEACHING & LEARNING PROCESS

The Department of Education is on the progress of implementing its prized K-12

curriculum that will bring a new face of integrated learnings and schema to its recipients. It has

been years of consistent application of facets and strategies to the students, dwelling more on

the in-depth assessment of students’ experiences and guided activities that will aid learners to

become self-reliant and critical thinkers. And so far, it created a different atmosphere of

competitive arena for learners and teachers as well.

The learning resources pandered by the Department of Education focused more on the

implementation and enhancement of teaching strategies and styles. The Science-based

materials, served to establish concurrent strategies/styles to the essential needs of the 21 st

century learners. The topics and strategies were of great aid for our individual development as

Science teachers because the materials fit systematically to the individual learning styles of the

students. Moreover, the learning resources were effective in implementing our classroom

activities- guided by the foundation of learning which is student-centered and dynamic with the

currents trends of the 21st century. It is also functional in the delivery of HOTS that enhances

student’s critical thinking skills.

Totally, the learning resources were significant for our classroom instruction because it

kept us updated with the new trends of scientific breakthroughs and research. It gave us a new

perspective of teaching Science to our students. Intellectually, it molded our learners to be

dynamic and seekers of excellence. Thus, the LR’s strengthened our persistence as mentors,

hoping to ignite a brighter light to his/her students to become a light for others.
