CGM Explained

No category Today 5:26 pm

Okay try ko iexplain yung CGM. Sorry you need to know

everything, kasi it won't work by just following the products..
Need mo malaman to.. Sa group, everything is explained in
detail pero di ko na sinama lahat kasi sobrang overwhelming
niya sa dami ng infos, try ko nalang i-summarize hahahaha

What is CGM
Galing siya sa book. Pero it's about making your hair
healthy in it's purest natural form. So hindi siya
"nagpapakulot" ng hair. It brings out the natural curls of
your hair.

If you choose to do it, you should avoid:

Frequent shampoo
Heat (blowdry, flat iron)
Brushing
Sulfates
Silicones
Water-insoluble ingredients
Drying alcohols
Ingredients to avoid: (you won't really need this kasi, may
recommended products naman na haha)
How to start: Final Wash
(Required ito gawin kasi hindi magwowork if you don't
remove silicones sa hair from the mainstream/
commercialized products na gamit natin. You only do final
wash once, before doing the CGM)
1. Cleanse. Wash your hair with final wash cleanser (Joy
dishwashing soap or Johnson's baby shampoo)
2. Hydrate. Use deep conditioner on very wet hair, leave for
15 mins. (you can use shower cap) then rinse.
3. Style. Use gel to style your hair. (dripping wet hair pa
dapat to lock in moisture)
4. Remove excess moisture. Use cotton t-shirt or
microfiber towel, squeeze your hair to dry (don't rub)
5. Dry. Airdry (leave it to dry lang don't use electric fan or
blowdryer)
CGM Routine (you can do this everyday or 2-3 times a week,
depende kung kailan mo gusto mag wash ng hair)
1. Cleanse. Also called "co-wash" or short for conditioner
wash. So basically gagamitin mo ay conditioner to wash
your scalp and hair. Pero kapag feeling mo oily na
masyado, that's when you use a "low-poo" shampoo
naman. Yun yung pang once a week..
2. Condition. Dito naman conditioner parin gagamitin mo,
you can use the same conditioner na ginamit mo sa
co-washing mo, pero we prefer mas malapot na
conditioner for this (like human nature). What you need
to do here is to make sure 50:50 ang water to
conditioner ratio, use your fingers to rake the product sa
hair mo, detangle ganon.. Tapos you squish it to your
hair from the bottom or the tips of your hair to the scalp.
Ang tawag dun Squish to Condish (S2C). This is
important para mamoisturize yung hair from the drying
ingredients sa mga products natin before. Dapat may
squishy sound when you do this, add more water if
needed.
3. Style. Use gel on dripping wet hair to style, parang yung
sa una din. You can rake it or squish it din depending on
your preference para lumabas yung curls. Yung iba
gumagamit pa ng leave-in conditioner para hindi maging
frizzy ung hair nila, but it's up to you.
4. Drying. Use cotton t-shirt or microfiber towel to remove
excess water. Tapos airdry. Pag 100% dry na yung hair
mo, titigas siya because of the gel, that's when you
Scrunch Out The Crunch (SOTC), you can use your dry
hands to scrunch it, shake it from the roots, parang you
will break the crunchyness of the gel, mas gaganda yung
curls and mavvolumize yung hair mo.

Once a Week Routine, Deep Condition:

It's basically the same steps, pero you use low-poo
shampoo for cleansing, then use Deep Conditioner for
15 mins. as hydration. Parang nag-hair spa. Then
continue lang sa routine..

Products to use:
Hmm this is going too be long, sendan nalang kita ng
different file for these, kasi puro screenshots siya eh.
Refresh:
For days that you are not gonna wash your hair, you can
do a refresh.
1. Shake out your hair
2. Wet your hands
3. Get pea-sized amount of gel
4. Rub it in your hair, and style it (scrunch)
5. Wet your hands and add more gel if needed

That's basically it. There are a few more tips na nakalagay

dun, like preserving curls overnight, swimming, hair coloring,
and kung ano ano pa. Sabihan mo nalang ako what you
wanna know pa.

I will try to send you video tutorials. Meron sa group haha

screen record ko nalang siguro.
Tips.
Sa first few months, magging dry and pangit tingnan
yung hair, parang nagrerehab ka ganon, pero you need to
be patient kasi nasa transition stage pa yung hair mo at
that time. Patience and consistency is key, yun yung
laging sinasabi sa group. And trust the process.
Kung sobrang damaged ng hair mo, kagaya ng iba kasi
nagparebond sila ganon, mas matagal yung magiging
process ng pagbabalik ng natural hair..
Massage the scalp when co-washing.
Take photos of your journey para makita mi yung
difference as time goes by 😊
